There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. How could you beat me to Frank?

I hitch-hiked 1000miles at age 12, to see him play at the Pacific National Exhibition Van., B.C., with the original Mothers Of Invention. Best show ever... Highly impressionable age, as if was.
Such fond memories. Zappa!!

Think what might have happened to your life; if you had gone to see "Peter, Paul, and Mary"... :D

How Deep is Your Love, for awesome musicianship?

Another band, who I whole heartedly appreciate, thankfully seen them perform several times...
Deep Purple

One of the only bands to ever sing about Frank Zappa...

I'm glad to see them continuing the extended stay...

Even with a couple new members, they still rock this house...

Chas

...Never managed to see them... :opps:
But Blackmore DID rock the house, in "Rainbow"! :2thumbs:

WAY better live, than the studio version...

Took me by surprise

Remember seeing this really cool guy, dressed to the nines, at the Deep Purple, Vanilla Fudge show. So I walked up to him and asked how he like the concert so far? Vanilla Fudge were on stage. He said it was great, but the next band would be better. Why do you say that? I asked.

Wow, his reply was "Because I play guitar for them..." It was Richie Blackmore!!!!

I could have died... Talk about lucky for me... ;-) small world, medium venue...

Steve Morse does one heck of a job on guitar, and on keys, well, Don Airey he ain't the original, but he's a damn good keyboard player in his own right.
Listen to them tear it up here,

One heck of a sold out show, they performed that night.

Is that a real poncho, or is that a Sears poncho? ;-)

If it wasn't for my large ego, I'd say I'm the Coolest Dude, that I ever met! Hahaha

"Freak Out"

Meeting Mr. Frank Zappa in that same venue, nearly on the exact same spot, well that was my Moment To Shine, and it made that acquaintanceship with Richie, pale in comparison. ;-)

Zappa gave me his autograph, and did I ever tell you, who drove me and my two friends to the show that night? Yeah, I guess it's been a pretty blessed life. Ian Underwood was driving the rented station wagon, in the passenger seat, was non other than "Eddie". You know the two lead singers from the Turtles, were touring with Zappa for a couple years...
L to R: Mark Volman ("Flo") & Howard Kaylan ("Eddie").

Waiting for a second friend to show up, we were going to head down to the venue together, while waiting, this rented wagon pulls up, and the window get's buzzed down, this guy with a large beard, asks me if I would please guide them to the nearest liquor vendors. So I hopped in, it was only a couple blocks away. As soon as I shut the door, I ask them, Are you guys going to the Zappa show tonight? Ian slams on the brakes and they both turn around and say in unison, We are Zappa!! Hahahaha, made my night, my day, my life. Then meeting Frank after the show,,, got his autograph, he's been my number one favorite artist ever since Vancouver anyway, this night just sealed the deal. I have something like 85-90 Zappa CDs, 6 DVD's and a whole stack of original Zappa on vinyl still. ;-) it's forever priceless to me.

Having these guys in my life, all these years...

It's been an incredible pleasure, and a listening experience beyond my wildest dreams.
Having friends in the music industry is a blessing too. Feeling much better connected to my roots with awesome music surrounding most of what I do, everyday.

And of course, I've got to give credit also to our little local gem. http://www.ckua.com
Canada's oldest broadcaster, has been on air since 1927, minus that short down time, when All Hell Broke Loose, and they had went off the air. Now online too, for the world to enjoy listening.

I can only watch here. You guys are way out of my league on this type of music.

Flight of the Valkerie, Your Cheatin Heart, Roy Clark, now that's where I shine. :roflblack::roflblack:
