• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Back from Fun Adventure on the Trusty 2010 RS

This is the 10th year of a Memorial Ride for my wife who passed in 2014. The same buddies have ridden along now for 8 years. This year we rode to Northern Wisconsin, then through Northern Minnesota, on along the Canadian border in North Dakota, then Montana and into the mountains of Wyoming, before turning homeward through South Dakota and Iowa, before crossing the mighty Mississippi back into the central Wisconsin hills and farmlands. The Spyder worked flawlessly... even in the 50+ wind gusts we encountered in western North Dakota as a viscious front was passing by. I'm retiring this year, so may be the last year of the RS moving on to the RT for the creature comforts. Lots of smiles on the roads and Butler maps were helpful in identifying the path. Hope everyone is riding a lot and safely. This journey tallied just over 3500 miles :)

Hi. I am from Wisconsin also. I just purchased a 2014 RSS SE5. Did you do any modifications like handlebar risers or footboards to yours to help with comfort. I am looking for some to put on. Any ideas? Thanks.

Enjoy your RSS ... these are fun rides. Mine has been really dependable. Here are the changes I have made. All $ were worthwhile.

Rotella T6 5/40 (blue bottle, Jaso compliant)
Baja Ron beefier sway bar and metal links
KN Air filter
BajaRon plugs/wires
Lamonster highway pegs (helps move legs for long rides)
Airhawk seat cushion (again big help on long rides)
Spyderpops heat deflector and belt guard
LED running lights and fender marker lights (T10 socket)
Vredestein Tires and NOT Kenda

Enjoy our Wisconsin roads... some great places to enjoy here in Badgerland.

Dave
