Moving ST while in gear

Back bike into garage. Put parking brake on and must have put it in gear. Then had to move bike forward so turned on, parking brake off, and it rolled. Didn't notice it was in gear but did it just think it was in 1st?

Went to start next day and it wouldn't until I stomped on brake. Weird that you can move it when it's in gear.

It's an "ESSIE"; right? :dontknow:
They'll roll in gear with the engine off, because the centrifically-activated clutch engagement system isn't operating at 0 rpms...
