• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. Moving a Garmin 660 from a GS to an RT?

Can I use the wiring that came with my Garmin 660 to connect to an OEM bracket on an RT A/C that I'm contemplating. My dealer isn't sure if I can buy just the bracket and re-use the wiring I have now on my GS, or if I need the bracket + wiring.

Something tells me the wiring loom on the RT should have the wiring pre-installed, but I could be wrong...

Thanks,

As far as I know, you can't just buy the bracket...but ther are other solutionss. A search should yield a lot of information.

I'll have to look for alternative brackets -- I don't think I'd like the OEM bracket location being so far below my line of sight. (Assuming I make a move to the RT...).

Thanks, Scotty!

I had the cradle for the 550 permanently mounted and wired to my RS. Decided that i didn't use the GPS a lot so went with a short 12 volt extension cord runnign it form the 12 volt plug in the trunk to the passenger handle. I use the suction cup mount and stick it on the tach glass. Just run the cord along the seat edge. That way I can put it on and take it off whenever I want. The cradle peranently mounted to the handlebar on the RS was getting some corrosion. Just a thought.

Thanks Teach!
Don't have the RT yet, but was wondering if the suction mount could be used.
