Mount for Iphone and IPAD lifeproof cases on Spyder

I have lifeproof cases on my Iphone 5 and IPAD MINI but have not see a mount that I can use, at a lower cost, for an RS with the handlebars we have. Does anyone inow of a lower cost mount that can be used, I found one on BRP but a little mount cost $158. The cases provide weather proofing so it just requires mount to attach to hopefully the center portion of the RS handlebars.

Thank you,

Thank you,

Ram Mounts, X grip mount.

:agree: I have an X-mount for my phone it it works really well. And the variety of hardware you can use to mount it to just about anything is almost limitless.

Me too! Love the ram mount stuff. Durable, holds my phone well and quick release. I used it with my iPhone 5s and now use it for my 6plus. Holds both great!

Ram mounts...

I have the ram mount on my RS...

you just need one of their holders and arms for your units...

this is my solution but I never hardly use it. Gps sits in the frunk and the phone is through my G9 head set...

Also use Lifeproof cases

Ram mounts + the X "holder". I bought mine from GPS City online. I also moved my iphone 6+ to the JT Dash bar....along with my go pro and SPOT tracker...if I ever decide to use my GPS there is room on the JT Dash Bar for it also...

+1

I have a iphone 6+ w/ an otterbox case... so I have been using the ram mount with the X-grip.

Due to the RS-S (2012 - older) having a different handle bar. I went with the Ram Mount V-Shape Base (RAM-B-108BU). I also use the long double arm socket (RAM-B-201U-C) so the phone stays behind the windshield.

Ram Mount X-Grip...I have a Note 4 Phablet phone with a 5.5 inch screen, and the Ram mount accommodates it just fine. I tapped into the existing screw on the left handgrip side and mounted the Ram Mount there. it is stable, and pics vid come out clear. I'll see if I can grab a pic a bit later.

Here's a short video clip of my mounting point. I did not want to drill a new hole in my Spyder, so needed to use existing screw points:

Have you checked out the eCaddy as an option to mount your Iphone

Thank you,

Here’s another option: the eCaddy. Lots of mount options/types of holders, you can get one that keeps your phone in your case. Your RS might take the ‘reservoir’ mount, check the fitment info and installation videos shown on the product descriptions:http://www.leadermotorcycle.com/can-am-spyder/. I don’t know what you consider “low cost”… iPhones are not cheap, we have our whole lives in them now, it only makes sense to get a solid mount, and you get what you pay for. These are aluminum and made in USA.

I built my own on my ST, similar for an RS.

You can build your own pretty inexpensively.

It just shipped

Lifeproof case for iPhone 6 plus. For awhile thought might have to return to using trusty ziploc bag. But no worries it shipped today.
