• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Motorcycles Weave Through Traffic at 186mph

RE: The speeding motorcycles. Speed can be fun, but it sure cuts down on your options if anything goes wrong. A mistake by one of the other motorcycles, road debris, a vehicle doing something not predictable, and you are in a heap of trouble.

We get the "squid packs" out on our Glenn Highway--about a 20 mile stretch between Eagle River and Anchorage. Three lanes each way. The crotch rockets like to drive in packs at 150 + some times. The LEO's have cracked down and encourage the public to report them. Recently, they stopped a pack of three and all those nice people got large tickets, etc.

Wild ride..!!

speedo must max out at 299 kph. Even the shift light flashed looking for that elusive 7th gear...:hun: Well I hope they made it where they were going safely..

 I'm sorry... I couldn't finish watching it.

The closing speeds and weaving all over the road... just a real good way to end yourself! nojoke

Want to speed 10 mph over the limit? I'm not going be a hypocrite and complain.

Want to speed like *that*? That's what the track is for. This? This is criminal irresponsibility.

And yes, stupidity. :banghead:

I've run across packs of these kinds of riders before, both in my car and on my bike or Spyder. Quite frankly, they are idiots. They're not only putting themselves in danger but others in cars...no one wins if a bike hits a car at that speed. And they give the rest of the bikers on the road a bad name.

Mortally stupid.

I agree with what the guy in the article wrote, accept for one thing; he said, "If you want to drive fast do it when there is nobody on the road."

No. If you want to drive fast like that do it at the track on a track day. That way when you smear yourself across the pavement there will at least be medical people there to decide what to do with your remains.

Agreed! This type of :cus: could easily have killed someone other than the bike riders. I've done plenty of rodding on many of my vehicles over the years; it's always an assessed risk...........:cus: could go wrong real quick. But risking one's own life, and putting others at risk are two totally different things!

Seemed to me the GoPro disconnected from his helmet pretty quickly, those later rolls is just the camera flipping down the asphalt.

I hope.

yeah, they usually come of the mount in high impact. But they still keep filming quality video.
