There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. motorcycle endorsement

just wait till your state figures out they are missing out some new revenue they could have .. :roflblack:

Trust me on this one if you live in Washington state You have to have a license for everything three wheel, two wheel, trailers, boats, cats, dogs, bicycles the list goes on and on this is one state that doesn't miss out on too much revenue :yikes:

The way we were always told is that you are required to abide by the laws of the state your in, no matter where your from.

Except for minimum age requirements all states drivers licenses are accepted by the other states. You must of course, abide by the driving laws of the states you are visiting (such as prohibition on radar detectors in Virginia, etc).

I also live in SoCar.... and I wrote my State Senator, Larry Martin, about just this issue... he has assured me (in writing) that anyone from SC that rides a 3 wheeled vehicle in any of the 50 States, (or is it 57 States), they are legal. Any 2 wheeled motorcycle with a 'side-cart' is considered a 3 wheeled vehicle...

The law in SC is for Permanent Trikes ONLY, not bikes with side cars or bikes with bolt on rear wheels, this is because they can be converted back to two wheels in about 10min. your last is incorrect,it is a 3 wheeled vehicle, but you must have a motorcycle license to ride in SC.

Wow! This got quite complicated pretty quick.

I also agree with those who state that drivers licenses are pretty much reciprocal between states.

I have a motorcycle endorsement on my license, and I MUST carry a card saying" Restricted to Riding A Three Wheel Motorcycle Only.

" This card is By: Vermont Agency of Transportation Dept. of Motor Vehicles. IMPORTANT: Must be carried with License/Permit!!!!!! The state of Vermont started this 2 years ago?? about the above info.

And we have a helmet law. I live in Vermont. I hope this helps.

Deanna

Must be for 3 wheeler only. M in New York u can drive either or unless it says 3 wheel endorsement

I am curious about how many of the "out of state" tickets went to court or were just paid.
I am usually pro police, but sometimes, they are mistaken or do not know the law. At a "safety sunday" , (Day devoted to safet topics got Gold Wing Group), a city policeman asserted three wheel motorcycle did not need a m/c endorsement. He got quite upset when pressed on the matter. Finnally some said, call the Highway Patrol on the speaker phone. He got mad and left. He was hazy on a couple other things as well.
Ohio law a regular m/c endorsement, ride two or three, three wheel endorsement only three.

Someimes, the "law people" will not give you a answer. A class B CDL allow you to drive any staight truck or bus (disregarding for this example, haz-mat, tanker, school bus and so on). With that said, can a person with a Class B CDL drive a semi cab with no trailer on the street ? Can you give me a written opinion on this ? Verbable answers..yes...no...maybe....not sure..... have to go to court to find out. Written answer, I do not a have a pen and I am not authorized use yours or something.
this does mean to start on this, just a example of hazy laws

MY BAD;
Three-Wheel Motorcycle Endorsement
On June 2, 2009, Governor Sanford signed a new law concerning three-wheel motorcycles. Because of this law change, a three-wheel motorcycle endorsement is no longer required to operate a three-wheel motorcycle. Citizens can now operate a three-wheel motorcycle with any class of license except a moped class G license. This law change excludes a motorcycle with a detachable side car. To operate a motorcycle with a detachable side car, the customer must hold a class M motorcycle license. SCDMV will no longer administer three-wheel motorcycle tests.

HOWEVER, i just came across this article: http://thekneeslider.com/south-carolina-requiring-3-wheel-certification/ so i've re-written my State Senator for clarification...
confusing to say the least....

in Arkansas to marry my wife I need a wedding license, but to marry my sister I need nothing...its a family affair!! :roflblack:

In the state of

Washington, you must have a separate endorsement for a 2 wheeler and a 3 wheeler. 3 wheels encompasses trikes (all varieties) & side cars. More revenue
for the department of licensing. If you have both you can pretty much drive anything that is street legal:D:D

Isn't there some States that don't require no special license at all?????

If that is the case they better stay within their own state:dontknow:

The card says" Restricted to Riding A Three Wheel Motorcycle ONLY. On top of the card it also, says" Special Restriction Card".

I have "
M" on my license( M = Motorcycle Endorsement) Deanna

Yup! That's how we fly here as well...

 BUT.... If you took your road test on a trike; your license will be restricted to the operation of three-wheeled motorcycles only.
So the reverse, is not true!
Bob: I took my spyder to get my license 2 years ago,( 2012 Blue Metallic RTS-SE5). Deanna

Hi Dee!
So; is your license marked for operation of three-wheeled motorcycles only?
(I don't know Vermont's Licensing Statutes...)
