• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

nice work Dave

is that your own seat in the middle pic? that looks really good:thumbup:.

Yes that is my own seat

Yes that is a rebuilt Corbin seat off my ST1100 however so is the custom
seat and upholstery to the left, that is the GoldWing I sold in June it has
Micro Fiber and Ostrage upholstery on a modified stock seat.
I have had some folks out there ask since I became a site supporter/vendor
if I only work on GS/RS models because of the photo in my banner ad...
I do custom upholstery on all makes and models of vehicles but I
Specialize in building motorcycle and Spyder seats. If anyone needs info
please feel free to call me anytime I will be happy to give you any info I can.

Hi Dave!
I must admit; you have REALLY picqued my interest in perhaps "tinkering" with my stock RT saddle.
I've kept hearing about the Corbins being pretty hard for a prolonged break-in period, and I've got to admit that I haven't really kept track of the other offerings... :opps:
What could you do to a stock seat to improve it for the really long-haul?
My only issue with the stocker, is that it almost is a bit wide down where my thighs rest on it... After a period of time it makes my legs start to get pretty uncomfortable. Could that area be trimmed down just a bit?
And maybe add some gel pads to the equation?
Perhaps some colorful welting added also?

What can we do here?

Thanks!

I probably coul not afford it (unless Bob Denman loans me some money) but if you do any RT seats i would like to see the results. The brown seat looks really good.

Gas tank hole

Ok so I will ask. There are many of us that want to get a gas tank hole in our seats. I have a 2011 RT and would like to get a hole and cover put in the seat. Your work looks great and of very high quality. I am wondering if you can put the gas tank hole and cover in a stock RT seat. Thanks.

Gas tank hole in the seat......... Be careful if you use a metal cover, you could potentialy burn your leg in the hot sun or from the heat under the tupperware.

Gas Tank Filler Hole in RT seat

I have had several people ask about just that, I have a customer due in on the 8th. of Dec. with a blue RT 2012 model I will be working with him to come up with a door on the seat for access. I like working with customers so they get exactly what they want.
Just give me a little time and I will let you know.
We are going to retain his stock upholstery and add GEL and the door. I will keep you all informed with photos.

Gas door installed[/h]
I posted some photos a week or so ago of the gas door I had installed. Here are some better photos and it works great. I had the stock seat lumbar moved back 2", added the Utopia back rest, added heat and the gas door.

GAS DOOR and MORE

Hi Everyone
I have the gas door down and it works out great I will do more of them to refine it and post photos. I see no reason why this can't be done to a stock seat if that is all the mod's you want.
Bob I can do whatever you want to do to your seat... by the way you are the one that steered
me to the Spyder lovers forum I don't know if you remember that.

Since I've already wrecked my Christmas budget...
