There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. Moto-Vblog: What the vented windshield does and doesn't do

Just a little Vblog chit chat about what the Spyder RT vented windshield does and doesn't do.

Enjoy....

Great video Bob! I have the F4+4 tall+wide. Your video is spot on. The vent really does work to control the back draft. My helmet buffeting is virtually gone. The wife says it makes her ride way more comfortable also. :ohyea: Were you talking as you were riding and filming? If so, very clear. Great set up. Tom :spyder:

Yes I was talking live.

This is my camera setup. I am using the Sena GoPro backpack that binds to your Bluetooth helmet setup.

Good point Bob but I believe the GW vent or the BRP vented adjustable windshield has a vent that is higher in the windshield that does provide some air flow to the rider too. Obviously the later BRP windshields with the lower hole in it are for buffeting assistance.

Thanks, Bob!
And yes; the two little vents that match up to the cut-outs in the windshield mounting bracket accomplish just about the same thing... :D

I am actually thinking of cutting those holes in my windshield to see if it improves it even more! I can always close the vent if it's too much air.

You Need One of These...

Bob,

Interesting information on BOTH the windshield vent and the camera mount. Enjoyed the videos. Thanks for posting.

But, it may be time to trade in your Go-Pro. Just curious to know if you've got one of these on pre-order... ;)

Yep, it would be quite a site. You could have tons of fun with one of these, I'd bet. ;)
