I was reading in the paper this morning (yes, I still get one delivered), about the folks who want to boycott Stone Mountain Park here in Atlanta because it displays the confederate flag and has three famous Confederates carved on the face of the mountain. I suppose it won't be long before someone suggests blasting the faces of Lee, Davis and Jackson off of the mountain. Folks, get over it!!! The entire park is a Confederate memorial. Just like there are memorials at Wounded Knee and Little Big Horn, these things are part of our American history. By the way... those people who took up arms against the British in 1775 were also called Rebels.

Sort of reminds me of certain groups in the Middle East that are blowing up thousands of years old sites, because they do not jibe with their current philosophy.

You can't change history--even though they may try to re-write or re-teach it (a la George Orwell's 1984) and (Brave New World).

The market is ripe for all of the above. After our generation--it's getting very scary concerning "reshaping" history. The current generation knows little to none concerning history and even current events.

Drives me crazy the whole political correct thing, this is suposed to be a free country. I still think it is the greatest country I worry about my grand kids and what will be left for them. History is history it is what makes this country what it is!

Cavman sent me a video of a man who went around a college with clip board in hand asking for signatures to put CARL MARX in as the next president of the US. He got lots of signatures!!! Then he went around recently and got college kids to sign for a NEW FLAG FOR THE US. Get rid of the old one or some such nonsense. AND HE GOT DIP STICK IDIOTS TO SIGN THE PETITION!!! And you wonder what's happening to the US. College kids that don't know SQUAT about history because they are NOT TAUGHT HISTORY ANYMORE!!! AND they don't give a toot. only worried about NOW,ME ME and ME. Take's after the potus thinking.

:gaah:: I'm 51 and remember learning in grade school about how communist Russia was burning books, putting people in prison or killing for speaking their mind. We were all amazed at how cruel a government and people could be. Well our government and people are quilty of these same things in the politically correct country. We have a generation of people who know nothing about being patriotic in a free country. All they know is I get the 4th of July off so I can have a BBQ or get drunk. Maybe turn off social media on that computer and look up why our country celebrates the 4th . And everything is not handed to you for free because you just want it and will hold your breath if you don't get it. People pay a lot of taxes and have died for the free benefits some of you take advantage of.(ok just take a breath and breath )...that's all I've got to say about that..:banghead:
