• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Would I be Breaking a rule or be rude if I were to ask the cost of the paint job?

Oh no - 'course not breaking a rule or rude! It was $5,255.55! (Yes, I'm a crazy woman - but I REALLY wanted this color.) Then I spent about $250 in addition to that on gromets and other miscellaneous pieces that needed to be replaced after disassembly. To break it down further, $1700 was the disassembly/reassembly cost (a fellow Spyder Ryder did this part because the paint shop was nervous about that and he was familiar with the bike), $2300 on paint/overcoat/materials - as in my previous post - this paint was expensive. It took 3 quarts of Kandy Radiance (Oh so Sexy), 3 quarts of Starfire (I think this was the small metallic flake), 1 gallon clear coat, 1 pint hardner, 2 gallon reducer. It was a total of 6 coats. No wet sanding on any of the coats. Baked at 140 degrees. The remainder was the labor on the paint job. The process took about 2 months. By the way, the price included disassembly/reassembly and painting of the trailer. In addition to the price I bought about $1,000 worth of new stuff for the trailer - like new tires, hubcaps, mud flaps, bra for front and ice chest.

Now I have to save for the chrome!

 It may have been a lot of money... But the results make it MORE than worthwhile! :2thumbs: :firstplace:
Somebody mentioned Gold as a contrasting color... ;)
