• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

More New Lights from TricLED

Yes, you read the title correctly as I have added even more lights to my Spyder. :D This time they are in the form of Amber LED strips. I used 2 12" strips along the curve of the nose cone, 2 12" strips under the nose cone for ground effects lighting, and 2 8" strips to define an angle on the nose cone heading from the Spyder towards the ground. These are all tied together into zone 3 of my controller box, and work with the remote like my other lights do.

Pictures show things much easier than my typing does, so here we go.

This is the left side of the nose cone in the daylight, you can see the amber lighting on the ground as well.

I will work on creating a new video when I get some extra time.

Back away from the keyboard and put the credit card down. :lecturef_smilie: I think we are getting close to an intervention here. Actually I think you may be safe. I don't see where else you can put anymore lights. Not my cup of tea but it's looking good. Are all of the new lights hooked into the remote so you can set them all into UFO mode?

:spyder:

Believe it or not, I still have a few ideas of where more lights can go on it. :roflblack: I will need another controller box and remote though, and then will have to remember which one controls what lights.

Here is how things are currently wired into the remote controller box, for maximum UDO (Unidentified Driving Object) mode.
Zone 1 - Headlight rings
Zone 2 - Fog light rings
Zone 3 - Nose cone and front ground effects
Zone 4 - Amber side marker lights
Each zone has its own button on the remote, and you can choose between 3 different modes. When I set them all to flashing it looks really wild now. :D

My wife still says it looks kind of like a baby Peterbuilt coming down the road. :dontknow:

Hey man... You buy a 2nd battery yet? ..or at least buy that little jump start unit they had at SITS that got you running that one? time? LOL

Looks sharp!

Very nice. You will be easy to see when going down the road. You might even scare some people off the road--they may think their seeing a UFO.

Thanks for that great picture comparison Doc.

:roflblack: No need for the new battery yet, I haven't had any problems since that night. I also have not left them sitting on for a few hours while I was in a restaurant eating and visiting since them. :D I am going to buy one of the mini jump starter packs though, as the small one was very cool and could come in handy for many situations.

Thanks for the comments everyone.
