There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I'm not sure I want to know how much money was scammed from all those poor folks who cared about this product.... In a similar turn , Carroll Shelby kept re-painting the five cars He actually had built, because He had no money either. If I was really interested in having an Elio - or if I thought it might actually get produced- I'd have read the whole article.

I have put on the Consumer Advocate hat many times when this subject came up. I was on the "it will never be built" side of the fence--for those that don't remember--or care. :roflblack::roflblack::roflblack:
There was an article about a week ago that talked about the company's cash flow. I believe I neglected to even mention that one. Less than $100K in their accounts. That wont even pay Paul's paycheck next go around.
Based on the article above, it does indeed sound as though the death knell for the Elio is going to finally come. About time IMO.
