More crazyness in FL...Bikes vs BMW

Future Statistics

One can only hope that they will re-evaluate their riding attitudes, habits and behaviors before becoming a statistic... whether it be as a result of their own riding ignorance or by the hands of a licensed citizen protecting themselves or others.

... don't get me wrong, I am not condoning the BMW driver's road rage actions either. He never should have made it a point to catch up to the riders and confront them. Easier said than done sometimes I guess.

those riding the bikes in this video give all motrocyclists a bad name. In the beginning of the video, one passes the BMW and smacks the fender. Lane splitting and aggressive riding are dangerous and reckless. The driver should not have confronted them especially since they have gear and he is out numbered. What could he have hoped to accomplish? I feel sorry for all of those involved in this video. Chris

While I agree somewhat, it looks like to me the driver was in the right lane, and when he seen the rider in the left lane was going to pass him, he veered into the left lane to keep him from passing. Then he noticed another rider in the right lane and veered back toward the right lane to keep the 2nd rider from passing, and that's when the rider smacked the fender, which he didn't need to do. The driver didn't use a signal either time.

As far as the confrontation, hard to say what I would have done, I wasn't there. I do agree passing on the shoulder is stupid, but I can see how the other riders may have been concerned as they know the driver was chasing there friend. All were at fault, and there lucky it ended the way it did, as that lady was freaking out.

All we have is assumptions. What it looked like to me, was that the cage was pulling into the left lane, saw the bike that was running the video, approaching fast, and moved back into the right lane to let him pass. The bike in the right lane was approaching way too fast, and tried to pass the car on the right as it was coming back into the lane. So far, no one has broken a law or started anything. When the bike on the right hits the BMW, that is where it really starts to spiral into total idiocy.

The BMW driver was an idiot for pursuing them, the bikers were idiots for assaulting him. The bikers were guilty of assault, and, many places that woman would have been within her rights to shoot to save her (husband?)

Yup - a whole crowd of idiots, gathered together on the road, each trying to show the others who is the most stupid of the bunch. If any of them had just let it go and kept riding, none of this would have occurred. Instead, folks, if identified, may spend time in the slammer for letting their egos make serious decisions, rather than their brains.

That's exactly the way it looked to me. At that point I stopped watching.

once the driver of the bmw said what he wanted to say, and the bikers were trying to leave, he should of dropped it. yes the bikers were jerks for riding the way they did, he was wrong trying to stop them from leaving

Well that settles it
I have been trying to decide if I want to move to Florida or Arizona :dontknow:
between the alligators and the crazy drivers:yikes:
Arizona wins :yes::yes:

Avoiding confrontation or calling the police immediately would have been my suggestion.

All at fault here, for one reason or another. Add a gun to the issue, and there could have been total chaos.

Everyone is packing here. I try to avoid trouble as much as possible.

The big mistake of the BMW owner was to confront them. Really not worth it although I can understand his anger. Other than that, the bikers were idiots that give all bikers a bad reputation. Obviously they were traveling at a much higher rate of speed than the traffic. The driver could have missed them coming and moved back into his lane but his actions didn't seem aggressive. I've been passed by sport bikes that were going very fast and was surprised and happy I had not been thinking of changing lanes. Sometimes even if you have checked first, they are moving so fast that you don't see them coming. Hitting the car with his hand wasn't called for by the biker. Too much testosterone by all and mob mentality makes them brave. Using lanes incorrectly doesn't do much for my sympathy for the bikers either. The use of the gun could have gone terribly wrong. Glad it didn't.

I fully believe the driver knew exactly what he was doing. He was blocking. No signal or braking. I do agree all involved were idiots, and they put others at risk. I do hope the authorities hand out some tickets.
