Moonshine?

retread

Just read an article in January Rider about a lunch run in southeastern Illinois. Looks interesting. Anybody here ever been on the Moonshine Lunch Run?

Moonshine Lunch Run

It was April 10th, in Moonshine, Il, 39.190556, -87.894852. Coordinates because it isn't on a map. 1100 motorcycles were there, 1400 riders, not too bad for something I haven't heard of in over 55 years of riding. Gives me something to do just before Spyderfest. Meet me there.:ohyea:

Moonshine info

The 2011 Moonshine Lunch Run will be on April 9th, I'm checking on the longitude and latitude, Moonshine doesn't show on any map or GPS. The Moonshine Store is supposed to have the best hamburgers in the country, per the Food Network. The 2010 run had 1100 motorcycles, 1400 riders from 39 states and Canada, and raised almost $8000 for charities. More info as I can find it.

Thanks, Wyliec, I found out I can pick a place in Google maps, right click on it, click on "what's this", and get coordinates. Moonshine is only about 120 miles from me, so I'll be checking it out and posting more.

Okay, plug in 39.190956,-87.895646 That should get you close enough to see the Moonshine Store. I'll be heading that way probably next week to make sure.

I'm planning on being there. It should be the maiden voyage for my Spyder. I just checked the rider's list and the count is up to 573. I was #368 and Memphis Dan was #254. So far we are the only two Spyders registered. Hope to see you there. :D

Will be there but not on the Spyder. Coming up with four other riders from NC on our two-wheelers. Will look for ya'll

Orange, that is cool! The first flight of the Mystical Orange Machine! You MUST take some pictures, man! ANd to all of you Spyder Ryders making the trip, have a great ride and be safe.

Is that a Beetles reference? I like it. I could call it MOM for short. :joke: There will be plenty of photos! :D

Yes, you caught me trying to be clever!! :roflblack: It's just great that after all of your hard work and time getting your machine ready, you finally get to take it to the road. Better get your rock star gear on; I have a feeling you are going to get a bunch of attention! :2thumbs:

I live in southern In and would like to go but need to wait till a little closer to register. I would like to ride there with you all if we go. Thanks for the invite.

:welcome: Love to have you ride with us. I don't think it matters if you pre register. We'll probably post on the Indiana thread when it gets a little closer.

Looks like we'll be meeting at exit 59 on I-70, around 9:30 AM on the 9th, anyone interested come on down!
