AS I understand, Spyderfiest is for all that choose to attend. Noone forces you to attend. If you deem it dangerous to attend then stay home. Attend another event. As others have posted, there are multiple events held throughout the country and throughout the Spring, Summer and Fall.
The Mogang has put in a ton of time and effort to put this event on. I would guess, that given the criticism levied on them because of the weather, they may decide the hell with it. Then everyone can stay home.
You want us to just shut up and stay home?? That's an awfully insensitive attitude to your fellow Spyderlovers up north isn't it? People in the northern states want so much to attend Spyderfest but are largely excluded simply because of where they live and the time of year it's held. How would you feel if your area of the country was excluded?
Sure we can and do go to other events when motorcycle season finally begins here after April but Spyderfest is -The- event of the year and I can give no better compliment to the wonderful, incredible people who make Spyderfest possible. The good folks up north's desire for date in which they can safely attend is definitely not criticism but in fact high praise.
Please don't leave us out.

I don't think anyone wants to exclude you, but to say an event is unsafe because it happens to conflict with the weather in your area, makes no sense at all. Do you say the same thing about Bike Week at Daytona? We here in the North are faced with the possibilty of snow when we leave or return from events elsewhere, during six months of the year. I don't know what they do in Vermont, but in Michigan if things look shaky we load the trailer and tow down if necessary. Many a Michigan rider has found out the hard way when he/she took advantage of a thaw and rode to Florida for Bike Week, that he/she could be stranded by a snowstorm on the trip back home. Spyderfest is a local event, put on at their convenience and on their terms. While it speaks very highly of the event that it draws international and nationwide interest, attendance is at the discretion of the participant. Attend if you wish, stay home if you must, but it is your decision, not the promotor's responsibility. JMHOYou want us to just shut up and stay home?? I live in Northwest Washington state the cold part. Was this year at tough year to get to Spyderfest because of the weather? Sure was. Do we want to exclude folks from northern regions? Absolutely NOT. But for me life is about choices. Pitbull Powersports and Mogang do the best they can under the conditions. It would be wonderful if they could control every situation that we would need to make it perfect for each individual to come to Spyderfest. Do I think that will happen? :roflblack::roflblack: Pretty sure the second coming would happen first!! I have tremendous respect for the people that plan and organize Spyderfest and then I make my choices whether to attend or not. Have I made what I consider great suggestions to improve this incredible event? Sure have. Have they occurred: I know they listen I know the process and then they make their decision. Some of my ideas they liked others must not have because they didn't include. So there again if they don't do Myway my choice is be flexible or take my toys and go play some place else. Of course my choices to play with the most amazing bunch of people and Spyderlovers I've ever met. :bowdown:i can not agree more, even thou i live in so. cal it must be hard for a lot of ryders from cold climate to attend spyderfest in april.
get caught in blizzard on spyder...![]()
