• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Modesto to Ukiah

Wife and I are thinking of riding to Ukiah Easter weekend. Anyone have any suggestions for interesting routes or sights on the way. When we take the cage we normally just take 5 to Williams and then cut accross on 20 to Clear Lake then on to Ukiah. We don't really care much for 16 (Cash Creek). Any ideas would be appreciated. We'll be taking my wifes Syder RT and my Goldwing.

Joe,

I just took a ride up to Eureka about a week ago. I loved the ride through the Cache Creek area on Highway 16, absolutely beautiful. Sorry, I can't recommend a better route because I really enjoyed Highways 16 and 20 past Clearlake. You could also take Hopyard Grade (CA-175) from the west side of Clearlake and cut over to 101 that way.

This is my suggested route:

Sure, here's the route. Take 5 to Hwy 12 West thru Rio Vista to Hwy 80 and go north to Hwy 505 to Winters and than take Hwy 128 West to Calistoga (eat at Buster's BBQ across the street from the Union Station) and up to Geyserville at which point it meets Hwy 101 and than go north to Ukiah. You will enjoy the ride.

Also a good one. :2thumbs:

Hey redlightron,
Your route is one I have never been on before. I'll have to try that one. Cashe Creek (16) is pretty part of the year. I have been that route so many times that is now kind of boring.
