There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Mix of Flat paint and shiny paint surfaces, what do you clean it with?

As the title says, I have some flat paint (matte finsh), and some shiny painted surfaces too. I have some of the detailer for the flat finish and I have some for shiny finishes. Will there be a problem if they get overspray on the opposite areas? When I wash the bike, do I need to use a detergent that doesn't have wax in it for the flat finish areas? I ask this because I have seen too many of the matte finish bikes with what appears to be water spots on them. To me, that is a definite no no.
Thanks for any input.

There is a very simple solution for this "waterdrops-effect", use osmose water, you don't even need to dry the bike, it will dry without drops, in the link below, the wikipedia explanation
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reverse_osmosis

But to answer your question, if you clean your bike, and make good effort to wax out, you will have no probs with overspray, there isn't much difference between the two detailers, ask a professional carcleaning company for advice.
I use one wax from Meguaiers, and it makes the matte finish, more like a wetlook.

I clean mine with matt cleaner/detailer. On gloss surfaces, I use gloss-type detailer sprayed on my microfiber cloth, and wipe with it, preventing overspray. LaMonster makes a very good matt detailer.

spray machine with a small about dish soap in spraybottle full of water ,,, spray with hose to rinse,, blow dry with leafblower, no water spots, no touch cleaning.. works for me

:agree: Best way to dry any M/C. Gets all the water out of those little hard to reach / dry cracks and crevices.

The problem with using dish soap is that most is used to cut away grease (dawn for example). That also makes it a great product for stripping away wax from the shiny parts. In fact, when I ceramic coated my previous spyder, they suggested using dish detergent in order to strip away the wax before applying the ceramic coat finish.

I use a wet micro fiber if dirty an dry with one. Or if just dusty use a dry micro fiber towel. Then I use Meguair's Gold spray wax ?, Id have go out to see if thats the right name. I spray it on everything on my spyder except the tires. Black matte, painted, chrome, windshield. Spray on then wipe it off. Hasent made the black matte look white, just nice an new looking. Quick an easy.

I use nothing but (Lucas Slick mist) it's a really nice product for use on all your body work and I mean all panels. If the machine has light dust/dirt this product will incapsulate the light dirt and leave no scratches.
Iv'e been using it on all my vehicles for years.
