• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

OH MY
Someone is upset about missing the Rendezvous.

Did I mention Irish Guinness Smithwicks is a nickle a bottle----
not very popular here in Budland.

Although it is a cure for athletes foot if you will soak for 4 to 8 minutes.

Hold on..... Smithwicks@ .05 a bottle.... that just might be my deciding factor on going.....

Good Idea...

Here is my route.

(Cut out the bits about how to get out of the neighborhood. Heading north out of Houston.) ((Couldn't figure out how to put the map here.))

16. Take the ramp on the left onto I-45 N 198 mi
17. Continue onto US-75 N 72.8 mi
318 mi – about 5 hours 44 mins

US-75 N

18. Head north on US-75 N Entering Oklahoma 53.0 mi
19. Continue onto N Mississippi Ave/US-69 N Continue to follow US-69 N
165 mi
20. Slight right toward I-44 E Toll road 0.5 mi
21. Merge onto I-44 E via the ramp to Joplin Partial toll road Entering Missouri 55.8 mi
275 mi – about 4 hours 51 mins

I-44 E

22. Head east on I-44 E toward Exit 8B 199 mi
23. Take exit 208 for MO-19 toward Cuba/Owensville 0.2 mi
24. Continue on the ramp
Destination will be on the right 249 ft
199 mi – about 3 hours 6 mins

How much are the Toll Roads?

Thanks!

One more question...

Is there a link set up somewhere so the folks who couldn't make it view whats going on in Cuba while we're there?

Thought I saw it somewhere in this thread and can't find it now.

Hubby and friends would like to see what they're missing out on.

My complicated route
Merge onto I44 east bound at the 156 mile marker
Exit I44 at the 203 mile marker
cross over interstate turn right on North outer road
travel east 1/2 mile and I'm there, Cowtown

Guess if I get lost I can follow Bumblebee or Xpeschon.

Hwy. 19

How nice of a road is Hwy. 19 from Hannibal to Cuba? I plan on bringing my trailer, besides I enjoy traveling secondary roads more than interstates. Any advice about the road would be appreciated.

If some has some extra rear wheel bearings and can ship them I will pay ya at the meet.

Here is the link to CowTown USA.. This is the dealership where everything is going to happen.. When you call you are going to want to talk to Len, he is one of the key players.. Be sure to mention to him that you are coming for the Spyder event and explain to him what you need and he will make sure it happens, he (along with the whole staff) are very professional and down to earth folks.. He may direct you to the service department but again, very professional folks..

See Link below for POC info:

Don't need a GPS for this trip, I won't get us lost. :2thumbs:
You mean "Queen Bee" is going to lead :roflblack:

Phone and Internet was down in our area for over 24 hours, that was awful :(

More coming!

See you at noon, Gene :ohyea::ohyea::ohyea::ohyea::ohyea::ohyea::ohyea:

I met Spydergene and his wife, Virginia for the first time today. We had a great lunch, and then we went out for coffee. More talking, more preparing, and discussions for our upcoming Fest. What a Fest we are going to have :ohyea::yes:

Gene is a great guy, and so much fun to be with, I warmed up to him right away :D, His wife Virginia is such a sweet and lovely lady, like her a lot!

Ricky/the pitbull buggy , his wife Vanessa/Mrs. Pitbull Buggy , and Don/G-Man were there too.

There is still time for you to make arrangements in coming,
10 more days left

Gene is a character for sure. Have not met his wife - but heard a lot about her from Gene (and most of it was good.....:D). Anyone that would marry him deserves a medal...... :roflblack::joke:.

Been checking maps tonight trying to make my final decision.

Google says 9 hours.
Mapquest says 8.5 hours.
My Garmin says 7.5 hours.

My only concern is the ride back on Sunday... gotta do the 530 miles all in one day... and I know we would be out late Saturday night..... Then again the trip back home always seems quicker than the trip getting somewhere!

I'll give my final answer soon.....

Unless you got a mouse in your pocket, who is the WE you refer to, ryde safe :D

WooHoo! We are getting close, close, close to SpyderFest US!

Let me tell you all Cuba is E-X-C-I-T-E-D to see all the Spyders :2thumbs:

Here's a website for you all to learn a little more about Cuba and the local murals. http://cubamomurals.com/wordpress/ if you'll scroll down you'll see the official SpyderFest U.S. poster as well as the press release that went out.

I already saw a local church had "Welcome Spyders" up on their sign :)

We've got some neat things ready for the gift bags, some nifty door prizes, banners, and all kinds of SpyderFest U.S. memorabilia. Come ready for a good time! We are looking forward to meeting all of you.

PS. I met Virginia and yes she is a saint. I had the pleasure of introducing her to Babycakes--don't worry in 10 days you will find out :)

Great job on the official SpyderFest U.S. poster :2thumbs:

Like always, I had a great time with both the Pitbull Buggy's today

I recieved more good news tonight, now I really can't wait for the big day,
and I am not telling........ :ohyea::yes::ohyea::yes::ohyea::yes::ohyea::yes::ohyea::yes::ohyea::yes::ohyea::yes::ohyea::yes::ohyea::yes::ohyea::yes::ohyea:
