Going to wrap headers and took pictures of them and just noticed the rear header going into cat converter has no spring. Am I missing it??

It looks like you are missing one. Looks like your spring tool will get a workout this week.

(The parts list for the Exhaust system shows a total of 3 springs, 2 of one kind and 1 of another)

There's no spring in that left hand header location. The parts list is correct. There's one spring where the CAT meets the rear cylinder header on the right side - as in your photo - and there's two springs where the muffler bolts up to the CAT. Your bike is as designed.

Not sure why they specified no spring there. My one guess has always been potential interference with the belt. Especially if it came off. Never gave me a problem in 4 years.

Interesting..!!

they are basically safety springs in case the gaskets wear out the pipe joints don't come apart. On my RS they have hookups for two on the muffler but only came with one. Rearly happens cause the noise and heat will let you know the gaskets are going...

That's correct. No spring install on the left in the factory or needed.

The weird thing is when I go to this parts fische and look up item 220, their quantity for the spring is 10. Where do they all go?

The reason I'm replacing the gaskets is the ride is getting hotter and most anyone recommends replacing these gaskets.

I don't know where 10 of them go. :dontknow: All years say 10. I think it's a mistake. But the part number changed for 2014 and later and it's a $1.00 CAD cheaper. Likely similar for US price.

Well, I see what you mean. The parts list on the main BRP site does list 10. It also list 25 for some washers. Clearly some typos there. However, the parts finder on my dealer's web site lists 1. And there is only 1. If you eyeball the distance between the hooks on the left side, that 220 spring won't stretch that far anyway. There's plenty of support for the CAT and header so that spring is not required to keep that joint together and tight.

Just my 2 cents but I'd think long and hard before wrapping exhaust system pipes. I did that on the headers on a race car and it destroyed the pipes. After that I went to a ceramic coating like "Jet Hot". The coating did reduce the out side temps and the pipes did not distort.
