• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Missing 'S' Button

This seems like a strange problem to have, but here goes.

The 'S' button fell off my wife's Spyder. At first we could see what appeared to be a little silver magnet in the hole; however, no matter how you tried it would not activate while being pushed. Now that piece came out and we have it on the counter. So, she cannot select between miles and kilometers, reset the time on the clock, or check the ambient temperature.

We talked to our dealer about this, and they stated the only way to fix it will be to replace the entire dash panel. This appears to cost about $400 and they don't seem like they want to do it even though it should be covered under warranty.

I am just curious to find out if anyone else has had a problem like this? If you did, then what did you do to get it resolved?

It seems like it would just be something minor, but she is not happy running around with kilometers showing on the screen because she cannot push the 'S' button to select miles.

Maybe you could interchange it with the mode button to switch it back to miles.:dontknow:

Just tell your dealer it's broken, it's in warranty and to fix it. The cost is BRP's problem, not theirs or yours.

Really.

I had one on my atv come out and the dealer just popped in a new button. I thought the magnet was inside the rubber. It sure looks like the same setup on the spyder.

Totally agree---It's a warranty issue and a Dealer obligation to provide a suitable fix (regardless of what that may involve)nojoke

Thanks for all of the replies. I also figured it is a warranty issue and the dealer should take care of it no matter what is involved. My wife is going to call them in the morning and try to get it sorted out. Otherwise I will follow Lamont's problem reporting thread.

Thanks again.
