Missing in America Project Escort ride

Today I had the privilege of escorting the remains of 21 veterans and 2 spouses to the Veterans Cemetery in Van Meter IA. These set of remains have been stored in Funeral homes for years with one World War 1 vet being stored since 1963 and all had no family members that could be located. Had to have been over one hundred bikes in the escort run.

:2thumbs: Back in 2009 I was among a large group of riders that had the privilege of escorting The Vietnam moving Wall Memorial. As I remember, we meet it at a truck stop in Mariana, Fl and escorted it to Apalachicola, Fl. It was an awsome sight to see all of the bikers that showed up for this event. Dale

Just added a few pics from the escort. I had no idea until yesterday that there were motorcycle hearses.

Thank you for you do/did. We had one here in Ohio for 10 Veteran.
No Veteran should ever sit on a shelf, alone and forever. No Vetran should ever make the last ride with only a Funeral employee.
My bucket list can never be closed, as I made a line on that list to do all I can make sure they are not alone on that journey.
I joined the PGR when it started and will continue to do what I can, as long as I can.
