• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Spark Plug Wires ??

I only ask because the OEM ones really suck.

It might be that they heat up and lose conductivity. When they cool down they work again until they heat up.

Of course, I could be wrong.

2010 rs 10,000 mi bought new no mods have read about exaust gasget ,plugs ,wires o2 sensor, just trying to narrow options

First bike was a 2010 RS, and when I had backfiring it turned out to be the exhaust gasket. Replace them with the Honda's, and they will last longer.

I'm thinking Spark plug wires, You might even see them arcing,
Warm the engine, Remove a side panel, and in a dark garage, slowly rev the engine and look at the wires,
You might even hear them sparking. :dontknow:

:popcorn::popcorn:

:agree: Loose or lousy plug wires; they'll also screw up your plugs, so get a new set of them also...
BajaRon has what you need! :2thumbs:

I would suspect bad spark plugs...possibly installed without the necessary thermal transfer paste, and/or bad plug wires. These will not show on a diagnostic. There are other possibilities, but the plugs/wires are the most likely suspects.
