• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Mirrors that mount on ends of handlebars

I came across a helmet-cam video on YouTube where two guys were riding their Spyders in the snow. At about 11:45 into the video they pull into a large open space and as they walk around their bikes you can see that one of the bikes has rear-view mirrors that mount on the ends of the handlebars.

Does anyone know where to get something like this? The video is from Australia, so maybe it's an Aussie thing, but they look like a good addition to the stock rear-view mirrors. Granted, they are small, but I like the concept.

I have attached some frame-grabs that show them... the video is here: https://youtu.be/Dssr8qcbzjI

Thank you both - knowing the right search terms is everything these days. I had tried "motorcycle handlebar mirrors" and "handlebar mirrors" among other terms... "bar end" was the elusive term that got me where I needed to go.

Thanks again!

I want to get better coverage than I get from the stock rear-view mirrors. I can't get mirror extenders without also changing my windshield so these types of mirrors looked like a good option.

Napoleon Bar End Mirrors

I have had the best experience with Napoleon Bar End (aka, "Baren") mirrors. In fact, I just ordered a set today. Now, if I could just find a set of mirror extenders for my F3S...

mirror extenders for F3-S

Lamonster may have an answer for you. He makes a mirror adapter for the switchgear clamp on the F3, which mounts a second set of mirrors onto the handlebars.

You simply unscrew the fasteners holding the top half of the stock clamp, and exchange the Lamonster item in its place. It's threaded for a standard handlebar-mount motorcycle mirror.

When I put mine on, I found that "normal" m/c mirrors hit my F4 at full lock of the handlebar. I substituted a pair of long-stem lollypops from a Honda Transalp to solve that issue. They work a charm for both me and my second rider to check our Six.

Hope that helps.

Pete
