mirror led strips

I was at Longview Procaliber and there was a RT in for service that had a tiny thin strip of less running around the inside lip of the mirrors that would illuminate as turn signals. Does anyone know of these and where the came from?

We've had lots of discussion in here about hooking up something to augment those useless little green turnsignal indicaotors on the dash... But mounting up something in the mirror housing, it's not only easier for you to actually see that your signals are on, it also lets folks in the adjoining lane in on the secret... :thumbup:
I'd check with TricLEDs first. He's a site sponsor too! He's the local artist with those little lights! :bowdown:

hi Larry what you saw might have been side emitting LED's, these lights are very thin with a 3m adhesive and can be bent around almost anything. If Tricled does not have them try www.oznium.com they have it there. They are very easy to work with just do a test and make sure they work before you go through all the trouble of hooking them up first.

If you put the led's in the mirror housing you will need side emitting led's.

I was ask about my turn signal in my mirrorsand where to get them, well here we go--Go to ebay and type in 12volt side leds and you should find what you want. In regaurds to will these bother your bike and the answer is no. All you need to do is tap into your turn signal wireing on the inside the mirror. Any questions please e-mail me at [email protected] and I'll help in any way I can.

You most likely saw our bike at pro caliber longview for oil change and updates.
We bought the led strips at baxter's in hillsboro. they are side emitting led strips.
It took about an hour to install.
we will be picking our bike tomorrow around 10:30 if you want to meet us.

i see you R from forest grove. You going to the event T ProCaliber on the 12th? I also am interested on the trailer wiring. I have a 2011 and have ordered the pole harness for 2010 bytnNcystoy dates it won't work . Could use your help!

Yes. It powers the turn signals on the front side of the mirrors. Assuming this is on an RT, not an RS
