• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Mirror extensions

One quick ? Do you need mirror extensions when you put on 4 inch risers .:hun:

Some people run them some don't. I'm one of the "don't" But I cheat and have a rear view camera on my Spyder. LOL

If you need them we have these in stock.

I needed them for sure! All I could see was my gloved fingers! My husband designed and fabricated mirror extensions for my Spyder (there's a thread on here somewhere), and they work great!

Evan, you sell mirror extension? That is great news. I plan on getting some before the LA trip. I will have to go check your site.

Do it if you have the $. A couple people 'round here don't care for the look from the front, but, man, what a difference in visibility. One of my top five quick, easily installed accessories.

(Deb, does Brian have 'em on his??)

No, I read it the same way, and went to his site. I don't want to talk for Evan, but I think he meant that he has risers in stock.

rmccaul59,

In my opinion, get the risers for sure. They make a world of difference in handling as well as comfort. The mirror extensions, well after you have the risers on, you will know if you need them. It really depends on the person. All I saw was my shoulders no matter how i adjusted the mirrors. The extensions really helped.

If you end up needing the extensions start ordering them soon, it will take a while. Kewlmetal is a family business, and it can be hard to contact them. A few Spyderlovers have posted this, and I found email to be better than the phone, but they recently had puter problems, so try both ways.

Road Dog put small stick on convex mirrors on his mirrors for a wide view. That might get you by until they come in. Mike (AKA Kevin Costner) also posted a quick and cheap solution:

I tried it but ended up cross threading the bolt after lining up the washer. Don't let that scare you, I am mechanically challenged, but there is a lot of people here who can help you out.

Good luck and happy riding.

We keep some Kewl Metal Mirror Extensions in stock to help our customers get everything in one place all at one time.
