• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Seen a few posts over the last 60 days concerning mileage. Our longest trip since we purchased tour RT was from Hot Springs Arkansas down to gulf Shores Alabama. Two of un the bike< fully loaded storage and I got 34-37 mph. Just checked the last tank of gas which was running around Hot Springs village with plenty of hills and hard braking curves. again mostly with the better half on the back and I'm getting almost 30 mph. I know I checked one tank about 6 months ago when i took a 4 hour cruise by myself and I got 40 mph. On the open road m driving about 60-65 mph. Around the village I drive from 30 -50 but the curves are hard braking curves.

wow you are the 1st person that I ever heard of getting 40 mpg. My best was 34 one time and have not seen it since. I got 32 mpg today but most of the time it is around 30. But I don't care, I love my :spyder2:

Got 33 yesterday, best in long time, most of which was 70mph on interstates. I shift up around 4K and down to 4th gear when it starts to lug a little in 5th around the 3.5K mark.

 Great MPG! The best I have bee able to do is about 31-32 and that was pretty much continuous highway driving. When I get into the twistys, my mileage drops. I average around 29.

I would be interested in hearing about your shifting patterns as well.

My best riding alone was 28mpg and with 2 up it is 25. I guess I ride it to hard and shift at between 5000 and 6000. My bad but I love to ride it hard.

On my trip from St Louis to Melbourne, FL a couple of weeks ago, pulling a trailer and usually going around 70mph, I got around 30mpg.

I shift most of the time between 3500 and 4000. If I need to move, yes I hit it hard. I run only High test gas. I've tried reg unleaded and never got great mileage and the engine always sounded rough. I'll check it for the next month and let you all know if I see anything different.
