• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Might want to check out Can Am Spyder on Facebook

I found 25 newer videos public videos on YouTube labeled "Spyder Ambassador". Others could be set to "link only" or not labeled that specific, but I would have thought there would have been more.

Not everyone who has posted a video has done it under "Spyder Ambassador." You might look under "Spyder Contest" and other derivations.

BTW, I take your reference to my entry and questioning whether I used a semi-professional film crew to be a compliment considering such was not nearly the case. On the other hand, I have worked with professional video teams before: http://youtu.be/I9z5NVWZ5MQ

I would definitely take it as a compliment, as I am sure that is how he meant it to be.

By the way, I just received a confirmation email that my entry has been accepted. They are hoping to have the winners selected by April 16. Best of luck everyone. :2thumbs:

:2thumbs: :congrats:

I have so enjoyed all of the videos, and do wish everyone the best of luck. The original ambassadors had no previous Spyder experience and I think they did a magnificent job. So I am open to non spyderlovers becoming an ambassador and then also becoming a spyderlover member.

If that weren't possible then our family would not grow.

And I have also loved the videos presented by the members here too. I don't know if there is a limit on the # they can have, I think they should have as many as they think would convey a positive image.

The whole idea is to get a great communicator who can convey the message that BRP is trying to get across. If someone has film/editing or skills in public speaking it will make the experience for others that don't know or are on the fence about the purchase of a spyder that much more effective. Gosh this has got to be exciting. It seems all the entrants have motorcycle experience, but I don't think that should be a criteria either. rather someone who want to take on a big adventure!

I noticed that as well

I looked up various things and found the same, but I figured there are probably many that are not public so we cannot see them. Either way, I think they have enough good videos to pick a couple ambassadors!!
