• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Might be worthwhile to wait.

Considering..!!

That for most on this site your season is close to over, and the new model will be ready when you can't ryde it anyway. So waiting while those who can ryde test and review/comment on them is not that hard. The way things have gone since the last launch waiting seems a wise step in your purchasing process..hope all goes well....

Just my input here and definately relates to my 2013.RT Limited Edition I wouldn't swap it for anything. There is no way I would ever purchase anything that is a "first " in Series of a new model. Cheers Kenn W

Three months after buying, I agree. Plus, the price was finally affordable on the 2013, and I too wouldn't buy a first model either.

As much as I hate to say it... With all of the changes last year; it's about as close to a first-year effort as you can get! :opps:
Frame
Wheels & Tires
Brakes

If I was in your shoes right now, I'd give some serious thought to a leftover 2013. The percentage of problem spyders isn't that great according to the informal little polls taken on here, but those that have problems seem to be overwhelmed with one issue or another. This forum is no different than most, you'll hear from way more unhappy owners than the happy ones who are out riding and not posting on here. I'd also give some thought to a low mileage 2012 or older machine. But like some have said before, finding a good dealer will be your biggest asset in ownership. If you want to ride there is no time like the present, I wouldn't wait.

If Chevy puts 18" tires on an Impala instead of 16" and adds beefier brakes, they consider it an improvement, NOT A NEW FIRST YEAR EFFORT! Even if they change the frame, you wouldn't expect the wiring to melt! I bought a 2013 expecting that BRP would be using their experience of 2010-2012 to better the RT line-up. Silly me! :opps: Better luck to the 2014 buyers! nojoke
