• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Middle Dash switch

Does anyone have any pictures or instruction on how to put a switch in the blank middle spot between the shock and handgrip switches on an RT?

I may have pictures at home, but it isn't terribly difficult. The only trick is that there is a round hole under the rectangle cover. If you take off one of the main side body panels and pop the switch blank out you can fish wires without having to disassemble much else. You just need to pick a switch and cut the hole to just the right size. I added some thin double stick tape/foam around it too to help act as a gasket.

Thanks thats kinda what i thought it would be. Just didnt know about pulling a panel.

This is a middle "switch" that fits into the empty space between the rest of the switches of thr RT. It's called a carchet car and is available from J.T's. Spyder Store. I currently have one mounted on my 2012 Can Am Spyder RT-SE5. It looks like OEM, and provides two USB jacks.

I just bought one fro J.T. and installed directly to the battery. I didn't really care that it was always hot though. Then I stumbled across a video by Pierre from Spyder TV.
