Michelin CrossClimate tires for front.

Hi folks, my tire dealer says that he can't get the Michelin CrossClimate 2 in the United States.

Does anyone know a way to get them here?

I live in the Netherlands, they are readily available here, I paid 200 euro, incl. balancing and putting them on the rim, I think shippingcosts would be very high, but if you want, i am willing to ask a quote, from any postoffice.

I put 185/60 R15 on mine, they are slightly higher, and they seem more grabby, into corners, more control (but I have swaybar and upgraded shocks), I really feel the difference above stock ...da's
Don't know bout wear, only have a 1000 km's ridden with these ti/yres

I monitor tires for our Spyders and was the first person to report on this New Michelin ..... I reported this tire is SLIGHTLY better than the Q-5 ( like approx. 1 %, probably less ) Considering the cost of the Michelin even WITHOUT shipping doesn't make any sense to me, based on the value of the increased traction ....Mike :thumbup: ...

Thanks for replying, I found another tire, for the spyder, and they even come in the sizes to fit the threewheeled beast.
Hankook Ventus Rs3 or 4, reviews on these are quite good, it is not a fourseason tire like the q5, but only for summer
the smallest size they offer is 195/50R15, they should fit the front tho, but for the rear they offer 225/45R15, and that is just a tad less, in miles per revolution

Thanks for your research .... However the WET and COMFORT ratings leave a lot to be desired and the cost is even worse than the Michelin's ie. $132 & $137.... the Q-5 is a lot better tire at approx. $ 40 less for each size..... Mike :thumbup:

It comes all to personal preferences, I don't drive in the rain, only when caught in it, I am looking for grip, and willing to give in on comfort, and wet handling, I drive agressive, and overhere we have very good paved roads.
Me uses the machine, for pleasure and as a therapist.. hahaha. The hankook tire apeals to me, cause it has (according to reviews on the net) a stiff sidewall, and good longevity.
I also drive trackdays, with the spyder, live near a fairly nice racetrack Zandvoort ( Formule One) and on a few days, they open for public. Rather enjoyable, when passing much faster cars and bikes....
Anyhow, there are more ways to Rome, just wanted to share info:cheers:
