• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Met some Non-Spyderlovers.com owners today

Today was our SRA chapter ride and we rode to Mesquite, NV to meet up with a new SRA chapter from St. George, UT. We left Las Vegas with 6 Spyders and rode through Lake Mead National Recreation Area (one of the best rides you can take) in Logandale we had to say goodbye to our newest member as she had other obligations and couldn't make the rest of the ride.

11 riders on 6 bone stock Spyders met us in Mesquite and they were quite impressed with all of the mods on our Spyders. They were busy writing down everything from spyderlovers.com to vendor websites to how to make your bluetooth work with this and that. A few of the wives were not too happy that their guys would now have some expensive farkles on their Christmas wish lists.

May have made a convert, yesterday. An old friend from my Air Force days came by for a visit. He was raving about the Spyder when he saw it, and wanted a ride, so I took him out for about an hour. When we got back, he was really excited. He said he had talked to a guy a few years ago, and the guy said he had paid $35,000 for his Spyder :yikes:. When I told him that prices had come down, since the early days, he got really psyched . . . I think he may have one the next time I see him!

Amazing how many parties owning or interested in Spyders have never heard of us. I've thus far met two people who are on this site when out and about. All others have not even googled Spyder. I think that in itself explains why there's so much bitterness surrounding the basics on this site at times. They buy one blind, do something odd, then scream for post after post. Some of our favorite trolls have fallen well within this category so far.nojoke

That is really true some in this group yesterday seemed to have done research but not here and some were totally clueless about Spyders. One lady with a 2013 was convinced that her ,recall was not to wrap the master cylinder, evap canister and parking brake cable but to fix the heat on her right foot. And by golly they pretty much fixed it for her. So maybe CuzJohn should take his Spyder to her dealer. :roflblack:

Great..!!
