• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Dear Dr Lamont, :bowdown::bowdown:

Just a brief note to let you know that I have nominated you for a Knighthood in the next Aussie Queens Birthday Awards.:firstplace:

Not only have your RIP boards given me extra foot room, they have a couple of added bonuses that you undoubtedly deliberately built in, being -

They have changed the position of the brake pedal on the F3-L. The floor boards clamp must be a different shape to the pegs clamp. It has effectively moved the pedal forward an inch, and slightly closer to the board, but the pedal does not come anywhere near the board when applying full pressure. I can now leave my heel on the board and just move the ball of my foot across to brake .....MAGNIFICENT...... The BRP boards made me lift my whole foot across.

This also means that the RIP boards sit a little farther forward, giving me more leg room, but I can still slide my feet right back under me to achieve the RS/RT position if needed.

The boards allow me to step on to them to mount the F3. While I could do this fairly easily from the ground previously, I used to occasionally catch my ankle on the passenger boards when I was swinging my foot across. It was impossible to use the driver BRP boards to mount.

It was also one of the easiest installs I have done, due to the completeness of the parts bundle and your install video. I only got them today, because customs sat on them while extorting money from me. I object to paying customs tax/GST when no one in Aus makes or imports a similar product. Guess what.....Customs won

So you can now justify charging more for them as a combined floorboard, highway peg, brake pedal adjuster and mounting platform......just don't tell anyone where that idea came from, OK? :dontknow:

Thank you, thank you, thank you for spending the time and money making our Spyder rides even more enjoyable.:riding:

Pete

Thanks Peter. There was a lot of thought and design change to make these perfect in every aspect. The brake is one of the benefits but it hasn't moved it's just the placement of the boards. I've been designing motorcycle products for over 17 years now and I must say that I am more than happy with this product. It has brought a level of rider comfort that I didn't have before.

There will be one more change in a few weeks because we are going to run out the exchange parts for those who have stock BRP floor boards. We've designed our own bracket to replace the stock foot peg brackets and it will make the install a snap and you can sell your old boards and pay for over half of the cost of mine. It's a win win for everyone. It will also allow for the mounting of highway pegs for those who want to keep stock pegs or boards. :doorag: I'm about 3 weeks out on these but here's a pic of the printed part.

I have to agree with Pete. The boards are awesome! Makes the Spyder more comfortable to ride. And the brake pedal is more easily used. Stretching fore and aft is great to move around. :firstplace:

On another note LAMONT! :yikes: I called the wife to come down to check out the boards. And how I installed them with out her help. She tried them out and also loved them. Then, she looked into the EMPTY box! I guess you only bought them for you? Then I said they are only for the rider at this time. It's going to cost me. I just don't know when or how much. :lecturef_smilie: Is there a smaller version for the passenger coming? :dontknow: Tom :spyder:

Ooooo...!!🤔

Knighthood...you will join all the other knights we have here....What color will you be...???

You're not alone, Tom.

Ahhhhhhhh. We will have to make sure our wives NEVER meet, Tom. They sound so similar it could only lead to trouble. Exactly the same response here, and I have exactly the same apprehension re payback.

Break out your 3D printer, Sir Lamont.......most F3-L riders will be looking for passenger boards if they ride two up a bit.

 Tom... This is exactly how it always starts! :roflblack:
Here's a sign for you: I hope that it helps with your "problem". :D
