• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Recently my 22 year old grand daughter visited my wife and I here in Central Florida. She had never had a ride on a motorcycle of any type, so I gave her, her first motorcycle ride on my Spyder Rt. While out, we got caught in one of our central Florida heavy rainstorms. As we were on secondary roads and there was no lightining, we simply laughed at it, and continued to ride. Two days later she joined me as I went on about a 100 mile ride with our over 55 community motorcycle club. Nine old men all over 60 and one young lady. After about an hour we stopped for breakfast. She ignored grandpa and sat at the other end of the table. I am unsure if my grand daughter or the men had more fun. While I always enjoy and take advantage of every opportunity to ride my Spyder, it has also given me the opportunity to create lifetime memories for both my grand daughter and me. I can only hope others on this site can experience the same fantastic times. It is not only how far or how long you ride, but who rides with you.

Exactly the reason I took " the plunge" and bought my Spyder ... The ole " it's not the destination, it's the journey and who takes it with you" , but that's no cliche for me now

:D It's a lot of fun, teaching others about the fun that we have! :2thumbs:
:congrats: on a day that neither of you will EVER forget!

Glad you two enjoyed yourselves.
I will always remember the rides with my daughter.
mtbear:clap:

I've met lots of super people and made wonderful new friends I never would have known if it wasn't for the Spyder. Exactly the reason I bought it. nojoke

:agree: X2 and to see the country, and have people ask me questions, and go to spyder events( Spyderquest, Spyderfest, etc.). Deanna

I have 15 Grandchildren 4 boys and 11 girls. The boys have never wanted to ride with me but all the girls have to the poinf they'll call me to see if we can take a ride. I love it! I had a Yamaha Vino 125 just sitting around and one the older girls talked me out of it, so she has her own now.:D
