• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Memorial weekend trips??

Short ride to Blowing Rock for lunch.

I love Blowing Rock...good shopping, good food, good roads to ride. Got hungry for a burger from Cheeseburgers in Paradise (where they let the dog wander among the patrons - our kind of place!) and planned a ride specifically to Blowing Rock to order one (550 miles) only to find out they had closed. :( But still a good ride!

Yup, I'll be riding a short 8-9 mile ride each way to work both on Saturday and Sunday. I do have Monday off, but no plans. Not sure yet if Brian works on Monday or not.

Like to see pics

Enjoy your air ride, and take some pics if you can. I like to see what it looks like. Wife and I have talked about flying down sometime in the future. I have always wanted to check out the Glades.:2thumbs:

We are going to the Everglades and ride the Tamiami Trail across the state and ride on an air boat into the Everglades for the first time.

Thanks, we are heading south early Saturday morning it's about 6 and a half hour ride from our house and we will try to post some pictures when we get back Monday afternoon. Have a nice week end!

You're a lucky one Firefly. My wife and I have been away from the UP for almost three years now for work, and miss the great summers there. We love northern Minnesota also, having lived in Virginia and Cloquet for a while. We are in SE New Mexico now and will be taking a trip on the Spyder to Inn of the Mountain Gods in Mescalero this weekend to celebrate our 25th anniversary. Have fun and be safe.

Gotta tell ya--- some beautiful ryding up here.... crossing the bridge was awesome--- and taking 2 is just great. great views, etc.... but then was able to set the throttle at 90 and just cruise for miles and miles and miles!

2 would be a great 'testing' ground for doc and his new turbo!

I made it around 400 miles today and am staying in manistique. found a nice local bar--- and then went to the casino.

400 miles tomorrow too..... great weather--- bike is running great. Took a pic of the cluster when I was going like 70--- with the temp around 86---- and I was running at 2 bars! missing DAM works!

ran across three spyders on our ride to Blowing Rock. 212 mile round trip, great way to spend a day.

I'm now 1,300 miles into my trip-- 3 great days of ryding!

Decided to ryde to Milwaukee and spend the night--then take the ferry across Lake Michigan tomorrow--- then have 150 miles or so to get back home. I just thought taking the ferry would be fun--- doesn't really save much time-- and while you avoid Chicago--- you still have to deal with Milwaukee traffic. Looking forward to relaxing on the boat for a few hours while crossing the big lake-- which takes about 2.5 hours.

Weather has been awesome--- high 80's and 90's the whole trip. Have not seen a single Spyder. Been swamped at many gas stations. Some have seen them on TV-- but most had never seen one.

man you should have tore up this way, no big lakes but plenty of twisty roads and a county to do what you want, much less running over a old lady AND hurting her. I have been up to the UP, some good roads but MI had some bad tar up in that area.

Worked all weekend talking to dip****s, only got some local rides in just a quick 85mile "test" runs with the new HD gocam.
