Michigan is also home to towns that share names with auto brands such as Cadillac, Plymouth and Pontiac.

Also the home of Paradise, Christmas, Dick, Colon, Podunk, Devils Corner, Holy Corners, Vulcan, Witch Lake, & Bad Axe. Head east out of my driveway and you will immediately go through Tea Pot Dome, then three miles and your in Paw Paw and another fifteen miles you'll be in Kalamazoo.

Well i sort of get North, South Carolina, North, South Dakota, Virginia and West Virginia all geographically related. However what I don't get is Kansas and ArKansas. What direction is Ar? ArKansas is Southeast of Kansas so shouldn't it be called Sekansas? Betcha Cruzr Joe has an answer for that

Lived in Pahrump for about 10 years. During the spring it literally smells like skunks. (The weeds). Just awful.

What I've never figured out is why the city is pronounced New Orlie ens, or New Or lens, but the parish is Or leeens! They're both spelled Orleans!

Not far from where I live is Lancaster County, PA, which includes the towns of Bird in Hand, Blue Ball, Paradise, and Intercourse - all fairly close to each other.

When I make the trip to Lancaster County I need to go though Bird in Hand, Blue Ball and Intercourse to get to Paradise.
