• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Member Accident Just now

prayers for for a speedy recovery..
According to the AMA American motorcyclists Assoc. most motorcycle
related accidents are caused by someone turning left in front of the
oncoming motorcycle, check with your insurance co. they will agree.
WATCH OUT FOR THE BLIND LEFT TURNING VEHICLES.
They always seem to say I didn't see the bike.....
Make that most motorcycle accidents involving another vehicle are caused by left turning vehicles. Most motorcycle accidents, about 80%, are single m/c accidents caused by rider error.

I agree completely. Most of the 80% have a brain writing checks that their abilities can't cash. Just like the recent video on this site of the Guy riding the Dragon that crashed into the Corvette.

Of course we have done it ourselves and survived and learned a lesson. (I hope)

Thank you all very much! I'm fine, really, although I'm sure I'll be sore tomorrow. On my way home now. You know, the funny thing is, I can't find a mark on my helmet or jacket. Must not have been going too fast when I hit.

I'm glad you're OK, and hope your pains today aren't too bad.

Really glad for you that things were not worse, as it easily could have been. I wish you a speedy recovery, and hope you are "back in the saddle" again soon.

Glad to hear your doing well. I hope you're back on another Spyder soon.

I'm so glad you're going to be okay, JoAnn. My best wishes for your full recovery!

I've had TWO close calls in 8 days. Both on rural roads with nearly zero traffic, both by cars looking right at me and pulling out in front of me. Thank goodness Spyders have such good brakes. I just can't believe the drivers out there these days.

And from me in the UK...

Best wishes and glad you're not badly hurt. Hope the third party has been 'spoken to' by the police. :banghead:
