• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

After lunch and when everyone is ready to go we thought we would take an easy ride back around the east side of the lake, to Okeechobee that's where we will be spending the night. There is about 5 of us that are staying there the night.
 
If I get back off the boat in time, count me in. Cant allow Doc to ride in from Clearwater by himself, and Forrest rides way too fast for us to catch him.

John, I just wanted to take a second and thank you and Carol (and any others who have helped) for all your efforts in setting up, planning and all the other things that go to making a successful fun time. This isn't the first one, and won't be the last that ya'll have devoted your time.

Anyone planing on spending the night in Okeechobee the Best western is charging one night for $97.90-------up Date. Just made Res for Carol and I.Look on Thread #53 for info

Debbie & I change our motel to the Best Western in Okechobee :yes:
 
Best Western it is

Sis and I just changed our reservation to the Best Western. For what it's worth, the girl at the Holiday Inn told me that the BW is their sister hotel, and they have the same manager, and if we pushed harder they would have matched the BW's rate. I told her the best rate I could get was $117, she said I should have pushed harder. I told her I didn't have to push, just move to the BW.

Camping in Okeechobee...

We have reservations for 2 nights at the Zach Taylor RV Park in Okeechobee, arriving Fri night. (not far from the hotels)

We'll be looking to join up with the group riding down Hwy 27 Saturday morning and plan to ride back to Okeechobee around the lake that afternoon.

We'll be heading for the Keys Sunday morning. :thumbup:
