So, I did actually cause Ms. Nanny to take control once. Pulled off to the shoulder on the freeway, upon returning to the freeway, I forgot to shift out of 1st. Ms. Nanny took umbrage, and slowed me down around 40 mph. Eh. So, when I tried again, shifting and accelerating properly, everything was copacetic.
Took a nice long trip this week, wasted money and miles but enjoyed it. When it rained, I raised my big (2-up) windshield. Got wet anyhow, but it was warm enough that I dried off quickly. As I was returning, I noticed that the mph had improved and the ride seemed smoother. Maybe I was tired and had a gas-station cookie high going on. :doorag:
As I peruse the the entries and activities here, I note that I performed my oil change incompletely - I didn't drain the engine. I also could not figure out how to remove the "bottom plate under the oil tank". This did not cause the mess it could have, because I siphoned out most of the oil earlier. If anyone has a nice big picture of the plug that empties the oil from the engine, I'd appreciate it!
Thanks in advance.
