• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Not sure how long the Spider batteries last but mine says Yuasas 03/2015. Thats the yr of the bike. Its had a battery tender on it most of its life Im thinkin. Anything I should know or look at before ripping that thing out? Seems like a good AGM battery would be best?

The OEM Yuasa is about the best AGM battery you can buy. Part number is YTX24HL and is made in USA. Do not buy a chinese junk battery or you will just be replacing it soon.

:agree: however they are hard to find lately. I went with the yellow one on Lamonster Garage. Time will tell, but the Yuasa lasted 7 years for me.

I used to buy those batteries, but had to buy 2 after a year for 2 of my BMW bikes. Never tried the AGM batteries. So maybe Ill try one. Thats what it has know.
Thanks

I bought a Lithium for my BMW. Loved it. Very light weight. Great power and good life if maintained properly. You'll need a proper charger and they fade a bit in the cold if you do a lot of cold weather riding. Anti Gravity now has a line of Lithium Re-Start batteries that are pretty interesting. If you go lithium, just know they discharge VERY rapidly - so shorts can be dangerous. It's prudent to disconnect the ground when working on the bike.
