Hot and breezy in the desert S.W. Looks like Sunday will be the next "good" day for a ride. This time of year the breezes pick up all kinds of pollen and other junk in the desert air. Lots of people, including me, will have runny eyes and noses until things settle down. Just one of the things we have to put up with for living where we choose to live. Stay safe..... Jim

And as we head into the weekend here in bewdiful South Oz, it looks like we are going to get the last weekend of sunshine that we'll see for a while! Must be something to do with the weather ?!

Tomorrow (Saturday) is looking good for a sunny day with gentle breezes in the mid 20's (°C); with the temps expected to slowly drop over the next few days while the chances of rain & blustery weather increase until they're well & truly set in for the Winter by Tuesday!

Good thing I'm planning on ryding tomorrow, come what may! :ohyea:

Been hit and miss all week. Rain, rain, and more rain. Supposed to continue for one more day. Saturday through Tuesday (22nd - 25th) supposed to be no rain...but partly cloudy and mid 80's. We have a grand daughter coming to visit us next week. Been two years since we saw her last. Hoping to show her some of the Arkansas nice stuff. She is all fired up to go sight seeing on the Spyders. Shhhhhhhhh. We have not told her about the Mule yet. Granny is going to blow her mind over that when she shows off her new toy.

We are getting hot weather here in Vermont.

The temps have been in the 80's and 90's, and no rain.

It has been muggy.

Today's temp was in the 80's to near 90.

Today 86° F with sunshine, low of 66°F.

Had a very nice 261 mile ride yesterday with friends who ride a 2020 RTL. We had a lot of wind this last week but yesterday it laid down to a gentle breeze. The high in the desert S.W. was in the high 80s. Heading for a warm up this week. Expecting triple digit highs again soon. Stay safe..... Jim

Tuesday

:coffee: Today was very hot 88°F but it was very doable because the humidity was low. Evening rain showers are coming and this will make it sticky (humid) for tomorrow.
Enjoyed the morning with a long Spyder Ryde Time.

88°F, 66°F for the low.

Ryde on my friend. ......

Another rainy week starting. We had temps in the 70's, a little bit of sun at first, then clouds. The local radar said we had a five hour window to ride before the rainstorms were back. They were wrong, it started raining in four hours, so we got rained on during our way back to home. Not a heavy soaker, but we all got a little bit wet. Supposed to be more of the same tomorrow, but not as much rain forecast.

Wednesday

:coffee: All day rain today. Yesterday we had rain but only .1".
Today they are calling about 1/2" of Rain.
Farmers have their corn all planted and getting ready for planting some beans.

High 81°F with rain, low of 57°F.

Everything is good here........

Thursday

:coffee: Welcome and Good Morning to you, 59°F now. Going to be another great day with sunshine and beautiful blue sky. Yesterday's rain report was .3" of rain.
The Farmers here are starting to plant their beans and some of the winter wheat will be ready for harvest.

High of 84°F with some clouds and maybe rain showers in the afternoon. Low of 64°F.

Take some extra time to enjoy the good things. ........

Today the temps were in the 60's ( cool for this time of the year). Tonight they are forecasting frost, temps in the 30's,s and 40's ( they are saying if you have any plants outside, bring them indoors). :gaah:

Yesterday the temps were in the 80's and 90's.

The temps this week are will be a roller coaster, 60's and 70's.

Summer has arrived here in the desert S.W. Nothing but triple digit temperatures for the foreseeable future. May get a little mountain riding in but mostly just early morning breakfast runs for the next few months. This is the time of year most folks put their bikes into hibernation around here, much like the rest of the country does in winter. Our lay-up time is usually about 3 1/2 months with a few rides in June and maybe a few in September. Any unusually cool days in between will be taken advantage of. In past non-covid years I have escaped the desert and toured north for 3 or 4 weeks in July. Doesn't look like it is in the budget for this summer. Stay safe..... Jim

Cool, then hot and humid now heading for cold and wet. Some weather no matter what you like. Still riding. :)

Update, today I woke up to temperatures in the 40s with rain! Typical Nebraska, air conditioning one day, heat the next.

Last night we had frost.

This morning it is cool in the 50's but sunny. They are forecasting 50's and 60's this weekend, and rain.

But next week the temps back in the 80's.

Deanna

Finally Friday

:coffee: Well yes, yesterday's rain was just about the biggest thing that happened. Received about 1/2" of Rain in 4 hours.
The temperature was dropping all day from the high of 64°F down to 43°F over night.

Visit with Mom yesterday. She had a great time. .....
