• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Walked into a motorcycle dealership looking at helmets and found a 2011 SE5 with only 400 miles on it. Wide is thinking about it. I think we are going to the bank tomorrow.

The finance question is an important one, but it may be worth the miles of smiles you'll see on her face. nojoke If she wants to ride and you can make it happen, you'll be glad you did!

I already have one so she is pretty aware. The question is do we want another payment.

Faran's right... sometimes I look at the bank account and go :gaah::yikes::pray::dontknow::mad::chill::barf::banghead::helpsmilie::bdh::trike::wrong: (not in that particular order)... but after looking at the pictures and all the fun times we have and are looking forward to, I then go:D:roflblack::yes::firstplace:

I got a 2012 RT-S for my wife.........I'm sure going to miss her!

I love that punchline!:roflblack::roflblack::roflblack:

The real thng is that I'm one of those 800, 000 furloughed gov't workers, so we think we might want to wait until at least sept.when that ends.

:yikes:Husband down in aisle 7!!!:yikes:

Actually I still have her. She would never ride with me when I rode two wheel bikes (over 30 years). She only went on 2 or 3 short rides with my '09 RS. I took a gamble, sold my '09 RS (which I loved by the way) and bought a 2012 RT-S in the hopes that she would come with me on rides. She has been on the back seat just about all of the time I ride, even to the Post Office and other errands. Now she is talking about her own Spyder! So much so that she took the Demo Ride at Maggie Valley two times, only in the parking lot since she does not have a Motorcycle endorsement. So, I lost a lot of $$$ in trading up to the RT and I will likely lose more $$$ down the line on another Spyder, but I gained a riding partner and a happier marriage, after 36 years together! Buy the bike!

Do it..!!

You can have payments start after the furlough and enjoy the great ryding weather..you both can at least ryde together on the forced day off...!! :ohyea:

Finance issues aside--you know what you can afford.

Separate bikes are great. I highly recommend it if you can do it. We have communicators, so its just like she is on board--but she also gets the fun of piloting her own machine.

I hope you are able to go ahead with the purchase. Riding with my husband on my own machine has been a dream come true and I would not trade those rides and future ones, for anything.:yes:
