I was in June '64 - June '67. Nam Aug. '65 - Nov '65 Delta Co. 1/1 weapons, Nov. '65 - Sept. '66 Mike 3/9 weapons. Oct. '66 - June '67 Quantico.

MCAS Kanohe Bay Hawaii nov 77 to nov 80, Camp Kinser Okinawa Japan jan 81 to jan 82, sept 85 april 86, Diego Garcia. Marine Barracks duty at Rodman Canal Zone sept 73 to mar 75 .
I was on the Med cruise, Nato cruise and Carbbian cruise. 1973 to 1975
companies D co 1/6, H&s 2/6, H&HS, 3d fssg, lsb 3rd fssg, hqsvco hqsvbn 2nd fssg.

Looks like you got around. Have you encountered any problems because of the water at Lejeune?

I was at Lejeune for ITR. Hawaii twice, once for a few hrs. At San Mateo Oct. '65 -Aug '65. On El toro a couple of times, never stationed there. Okinawa for two weeks.

I plan on being at Quantico between Sept. 16 0 Sept. 20 if things work out. Have a reunion in Fredricksburg, Va. for 3/9. let me know if you are going to be there. I will not be taking the spYder down. We have a dog trial here in Syracuse 9/20, 9//21, & 9/22 and are trying to figure out when we are coming back & don't want any problems with the weather holding us up.

I will not around Quantico Va at that time. Right now if I am in the Quantico VA area. It will be around Sept, 19 to 21 it will be for A toys for tots meeting.

Good to hear about the water at Lejeune & you haven't had any problems!

If we make it to the reunion we will be at the museum and on Quantico base on 9/18. Probably leave Va. on the 19th to make it home to compete our dogs.


We go on a few rides mostly close to Syracuse because of our dogs. We have a lab with bad hips and don't want to kennel him. We are planning to make the troopride in Horseheads on 7/28 for sure. We can be gone from the house for about 6 hrs. so a meet up somewhere between Fulton and New Pitcher is a good possibility.

When I was stationed at Quantico in '66 - '67 I pretty much new the whole base. Nan & I were down there about 4 years ago and they had moved everything on me, couldn't find a thing.

I have a grandnephew station at lejeune and he states the same thing. Its change since I was there. when is it good for you to usually ride? There is a nice and easy in tully we could meet at and go from there if you like for a ride.

Picking a day is a tough one. Nan is a RN at the hospital and she has to cover 3 days a month. Can't be more than 30 minutes from the hospital. She doesn't have her schedule for June yet. May is shot already as we are competing dogs two weekends and she is on call the other 2.


We will have to see what happens in June. Keep me posted about when you are riding and we will do our best to meet up with you in the meantime.

I came home. I almost stay there when I got out in 1987. I have not been back since. Maybe its time to head back for a vacation
