• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

March was a good month for SpyderLovers.com

Kuddos for the website, the administrator and all members that have made this a great place to spend my time. As a novice to the world of motorcyles I have learned so much in the 10 months I have been on this site. I have never be associated with such a great group of people. The willingness to share information is awesome.

:2thumbs:

Darn, Lamont, I hope you don't burst with all the "pumping you up" we're doing. Thanks again for doing such an unselfish and very time-consuming job. I have learned a lot from the many posts on here and hope that some of my inputs have helped others also. Ryde Safe, Ryde Far, and Ryde Free.

Lamonster..how about a year later update on this..what are the stats.

This software doesn't have the same stats as the SM software but things are looking good. :doorag:

One thing I have noticed is we have more members logged in at any given time than any of the other sites I've checked. Our member to guest rate is pretty good seeing the guest can be search bots.

Good Job Its he only way A guy like me way up here gets to hear from other Spyder guys. I am kinda off the beaten Path. Thanks for putting up with my stupid questions and dumb remarks..

I a newbie here--just found this site about a week ago. I'm really learning a lot from you folks--so THANKS! Don't have a Spyder yet, but hope to soon!

Lamonster, this is Spyder home. The only days I don't visit this site are the ones I am out of town. Everybody here is easy to get along with and the info here is great. My thanks and congratulations to you.

Exactly.
I haven't purchased an accessory or considered a modification without reading through the related threads on SL.com

Thanks to all who post and especially to LaMonster for keeping this machine rolling.

Congratulations and thank you for your hard work. I know it isn't easy moderating a forum. Although I belong to a couple of others, this one is BY FAR the best of the bunch. I have gotten a tremendous amout of help and afvice here and that is the mark of a successful forum

I've started a lot of websites in my day and it's always good to see when they start growing. This was a little slow getting going but we have a great bunch of core folks here now and we're really starting to get some good info and ride reports. Don't be afraid to hit that "New Post" or "Reply" button. ;D

====================================================

While drinking our weekend, morning coffee and discussing our previous night's ride. My wife and I were talking about all the different types of bikes we saw - sport bikes, cruisers, etc. and the people who ride them. My wife posed an interesting question.

Essentially - What is the Spyder demographic? (i.e. - Long-time rider or first-time rider (like us)? What's their average age. Is this the only bike they own - or is it one of several.)

Is the AVERAGE crotch-rocket person in their early twenty-somethings?
Is the AVERAGE Spyder-rider person in their fifty-somethings?

The site has been very helpful for me and provided several laughs along the way - I visit almost everyday and plan to continue - the Spyder has become quite a passion for me!:spyder:
