• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

March was a good month for SpyderLovers.com

Lamonster

SpyderLovers Founder
I've started a lot of websites in my day and it's always good to see when they start growing. This was a little slow getting going but we have a great bunch of core folks here now and we're really starting to get some good info and ride reports. Don't be afraid to hit that "New Post" or "Reply" button. ;D

Good job on creating this site, it is nice to know that their are peopel with the same bike and interests! :congrats:

:congrats: Lamonster you do a superb website and i have benifited from your how to do posts, installed the brackets and pegs thanks for the great work you do.

I was told about this forum by the first actual Spyder owner I got to speak with. I saw him parked near my home and pulled over to ask him how he liked it; and told him I was still waiting for mine.

I had computer problems trying to sign on to the factory forum so I was glad to hear of this one. I tend to like privately run forums, without pop-ups, anyway.

Good job Lamont!

Frank

BTW - He liked his Spyder.

Hard to believe over a year ago I first sat on a Spyder at a snowmobile show, and said "Yup. This is gonna change things bigtime."

I know I've said it before, but now that silver Spyder #???? is waiting for me at the dealer, I want to repeat:

This website has helped tremendously by giving me tons of info on helmets, footpegs, alarms, xm radios, GPS, windshields, seats, paintjobs, maintenance, PDI and dealing with dealers, insurance, kneepads, luggage racks, tire pressure, heated grips, led lighting, pipes, filters, brakes, mirror extensions, and installations of everything, as well as various rallies and charity rides, great road trips, and geography lessons (Where's Tennessee? Where's Australia?? ;D )

I realize "the website" is really the input of so many positive people with encouraging words and generous technical assistance coming to a place to exchange it all.

I really appreciate the time and effort so many people have taken.

Thanks, Lamont. Thanks everybody.

Your english is much better than my French.

Lamonster, i'm really glad this site has taken off like it has, thanks for putting it up. At the same time i'd like to say thanks to all the other site members i've had the pleasure of meeting on the site, the only thing better will actually being able to get a face-to-face with all of you i can as time passes. I've been associated with a lot of sites where all the members share a common theme, but none that match the insight, shared experiences, and wit from here. In short, i'm glad to be a SpyderLover!!!! (geesh, i'm glad i got that bit of sentimental mush out) ;D  :spyder: :joke:

The people on this forum seem to be very friendly and helpful. Maybe due in part to the age bracket most Spyder owners are in ? With all the new states added to the ever growing list of Spyder dealers membership in this website has no where to go but UP !

Thanks for a great website Lamonster !!!

Richard

Lamonster is a familiar sounding handle from the past. I used to own a Victory motorcycle and post on the VMC forum. I now own a Yamaha Star Roadliner. I can't remember where you used to be a regular poster but the name I do remember. Anyhow you've got a great forum here and it will be very helpful when I go from two wheels to three.
