There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. Making an RT from an RS!

I love those random photos that pop up on Spyderlovers. Check out this album that popped up today. The guy made an "RT" out of a 2009 RS!

The owner was only on the forum for a few months back in 2009. Wonder what happened to him?

RT's wouldn't come on the market for another year yet. The following year, I'll bet this fellow had the same thought as what you just posted. ;)

I actually like the look of that better then the current RT. I wonder who made those bags and trunk and if I had an F3 I'd be wondering if they made an F3 mount.

He did a really nice job!
But I still thank that it's pretty tough to turn a Pig; into a Swan...

But with enough make-up, you can end up with a really attractive Pig!

I was going to post pictures of my RS but after Bob's nasty comments I think I will just keep them to myself. It's amazing how many people have to comment when they aren't involved and have nothing worthwhile to contribute. Probably just have to post something in order to keep their posting count up on the forum.

And Bob, I prefer my 2013 RS, which is more nimble and accelerates quicker than my wife's 2014 RT-L. To each their own.

I'm not an expert, but those bags and trunk looks like corbin, to me!
Nevertheless, it looks good. IMHO!

I did the same with both my 2008 GS and 2009 RS. I still bought a 2010 RTS Premier Edition (#474) when they first came out. Both "looked" the RT part, but they did not ride as good.

I wondered if I should have added a clarification to my post... ;)
FOR THE RECORD: I was not saying that an RS or GS is a pig; I was just using an analogy to make my point.
Are we good now? :dontknow:

Oh! I dig your video!! :roflblack:

but no radio lol. Nice job but I wonder if he spent as much for all the cases as selling and buying an RT :)

I had about $6K for all the accessories on each :spyder2: pictured above. A little bit less than a new RT but not much. $22K and $23K for the one with the SE5.

The bags and trunk are from Corbin. In those days, we had no problem with the quality issues. If you scroll up, I have the Givi bags but have the added Corbin fairings on both :ani29::spyder2:.

SIMILAR THING

Back 2010 I did the very similar and with a radio, didn't need side bags because I had a trailer ( home made )....1n 2012 or 13, Randy aka " arntufun " did a Video of it at a campsite we were at for S.I.T.A......Bob Denman could find it and post it ( I'm not that talented )........It was hilarious we were quite " under the weather " during filming :dontknow::roflblack::roflblack::roflblack::roflblack::roflblack::roflblack:.....Mike :roflblack:

Necessity is the mother of invention

Before there were RT's we had to make do. But you can see where our (collective) wish lists led to, with all the models today.

Here's our GSSTRT ;)

I believe that those are Corbin bags. Right now they're having some REALLY big quality-control issues with the bags that they're selling for the F3s... nojoke

VIDEO

Mike,
I can't find any of Randy's posts that are prior to Mid-September, 2013.
This video from the S.I.T.A. 2012; right?
:dontknow:....Wyliec posted the link recently................." BlueKnight911 Custom Spyder Video " I found it using this on advanced search.......but I can't do the LINK thing

Your right....

Those that said those are corbin bags and trunk. They still look the same today but as mentioned the F3 set seems to have some issues that they will hopefully fix. Givi was the other outfit that had a similar package but not as tightly streamlined. He did a good job setting it up to get close to the future RT...or maybe he did it after when he saw the RT and the Price....:roflblack:

My thinking has always been, they looked at what we did with our bikes, and copied.
