• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

If you own a 3D printer one of the things you can make
is your own throttle hold or cruise control.

These two files are available on Thingiverse free to download
and print, they work very well.

I am always thinking up stuff to 3D print, either to save money
or to just make things you cannot buy.

It got me thinking, those plastic wheel accents Can Am sells
for $50 dollars, Really! I am going to design some to 3D
print for about $50 cents and have any color I want.

After the wife struggled a little to reach and activate the reverse lever I decided to design
a handle for the gear lever.

I made a couple of different ones and settled for one with a rough texture and glow in
the dark filament. lol

I also moved the gear lever several inches closer so now she can easily use her hand
or foot to activate it.

How about this shifter design, don't laugh, the wife likes this one a lot.

I call it the shovel handle shifter. haha

I can make the STL files available on Thingiverse if anyone want to 3D print there very own.

Keep posting your 3D printing projects. Whether people like them or not. It does not matter. Folks who like your ideas can copy it. For those who don't it may stimulate ways of taking your idea and making it better. So everybody wins.

So thanks.

Awesome job! Having a 3D printer is very handy. I use mine for all sorts of projects...

Here's a headphone/jack mount I made for the Cardo Packtalk:

I also made a RAM mounting plate that affixes to the center of the stem/handlebars on the Ryker. Unfortunately, I deleted the project by accident. I plan to remake it eventually...

Nice job on the headphone jack, the RAM mount sounds interesting, to bad you deleted it, did you get a picture of it?

I like the satisfaction of creating and making my own stuff.

Jimmy...3D printing has sure come a long way in the last 25 years. Fun stuff. 3D computer modeling has been the favorite part of my jobs for over 30 years. Working on a custom trunk and trailer hitch assembly for my F3T - final run on hitch will be metal.

Don

FWIW, I own 3 3D printers:

1. Prusa MK3s
2. Creality Ender 3 Pro
3. Creality CR10s Pro

The Prusa MK3s is my favorite printer; it's also the most expensive. 99.9% of the print jobs I send to it come out perfect.

The Creality Ender 3 Pro is my second favorite printer. It's fairly reliable and has the largest enthusiast/Internet following. You can customize/modify this printer to your heart's content.

The Creality CR10S Pro is my least favorite printer of the bunch. It has the capabilities of being a nice large format printer but several flaws keep it from being reliable or consistent.
