• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. Anyone know where I can get a maintenance manual for a 2011 RT-S? Figured since we got this:spyder2: I might as well start learning how to take care of it...

Thanks in advance!

If you want to save money & prefer INSTANT gratification, most of my manuals can be INSTANTLY DOWNLOADED at a lower price from my website www.midwestmanuals.com

I see that you have changed your company name from Dewey Cheatem & Howe to DWC Enterprises. I for one would not buy from you and was told that your company had gone out of business. If you feel comfortable buying from Dewey Cheatem & Howe then I say go for it.

I can attest to the fact that Mighty Manuals will ship you a CD and you will receive it in approx 3 days for $19.99.

Interesting.
I purchased from Midwest and got both the download and a CD promptly. I thought LaMont had used them also?? Anyway all I can speak to from is my experience, but it sounds like you may have had a bad experience with them??

I bought mine from Mighty Manuals and they were great. I had tried to buy from Midwest Manuals and stopped before completing the purchase because on the paypal screen their company name was Dewey, Cheatem & Howe. I looked at their site today and now it is DCH Enterprises. I ask would you purchase from Dewey Cheatem & Howe?

Wow. Seriously. I did not see that at all. I paid through paypal also.

I am going to go back into my records to see if I can still see the transaction. Back in a moment...............................................................................................

..................Well, When I paid them back in May, they were listed as "DWC" enterprise. See Image Below.

Very Interesting that you saw the "Dewey et.al" part.

If they are legit, (and I did get my manual), it is pretty stupid of them to list themselves that way. No wonder you are sounding the alarm!

Thanks for the heads up!

Not making any recommendations but I bought a Midwest Manuals service manual on CD for my 2010 RT off Ebay more than a year ago. Downloaded the .PDF file immediately and received the CD within a few days. Have had good service from the manual. No problems with either the transaction or the manual itself.

I just bought from them today because I needed the download right now and got it. CD should be on the way. So far so good.

In a post a few months ago I copied their Paypal page with Dewey Cheatem on it. Ordering from Ebay they look more legit than if you go directly to their website. I agree totally why would you name your company that sounds pretty stupid to me.

I ordered a great manual from Green Manuals, an eBay vendor. (AKA Midwest)

For $24.45 you get a CD in the mail plus you are able to instantly download the .pdf.

A few days after receiving the CD, I got an email from them stating ...

"Back in March I spoke with BRP and was told they would not make a new service manual for the 2011 Spyder RT series, the only difference was the wire diagram, I found this not to be the case. I am sending you the new 2011 full service manual with almost 900 pages of extras at no charge.

My ad stated I would give you the best customer service possible, I always try to be a man of my word.

Thank you for your business, I hope you enjoy the new manual. KJ."

I don't think it could get any better than that. :2thumbs:

Dewey, Cheatem & Howe is the gag name of a fictional law or accounting firm used in several parody settings, such as The Three Stooges. It's even used today on the PBS radio show Car Talk with Click & Clack. In fact, it's the name on the door to their second floor office in Cambridge Square!

:agree: I just received my second CD today and knew nothing about it.

I would say the guy is legit:clap:

Well shoot. I just ordered the 2010 manual as I couldn't find a 2011 on eBay (about 2 weeks ago).

So I am a bit confused.. Are Green manuals and Midwest the same company? Green has the 2011 for both RS and RT on eBay now and Midwest doesn't.

Is Heliplt associated with either?

Maybe I can get an upgrade to the 2011 even though i only did the download option?

Hmm.....

It appears that Green Manuals and Midwest are one in the same. I'm glad everyone has gotten what they paid for but when I went to order and got the paypal page with a company name of Dewey Cheatem and Howe I ordered from Mighty Manuals instead. Mighty is $19.99 but they don't have a download option that I could see. I wouldn't have downloaded anyway as I don't have super fast internet.

I just ordered the 2010/2011 (updated version) from DWC on ebay. Also known as Green Manuals. It was $24.45 and free shipping. It should be here in a day or two. I already have all the tracking and shipping numbers. They seem to be an excellent company to deal with.
