• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Maintenance and the buddy system

Jeriatric

Thinks out loud
To few here(where I live), but...

in some parts of the country there are more than enough owners living close to each other to share knowledge and skills(up front and personal) with those who want to learn, and save on costs. The major hurdle would be where to meet. Those that have a higher percentage of ownership in their area should get together. Bending wrenches and talking smack is always fun. tol

:agree: Invite everybody over to the biggest garage, and gang up on the bikes for whatever chores are up on the calendar... :2thumbs:
Great idea!

Good idea..!!

Sadly from all the posters here I live at the worlds butt end to the left..( but the sun do shine here) have all the room, tools, test ryding areas and time. If your in the area stop by...!!:ohyea:

Very cool

Jerbear I'll be happy to tear apart or drill holes in your Spyder anytime.
;)

Over the past 4 years of Spyder ownership I have acquired a fair amount of tools and experience.
Mostly experience in doing things wrong.

But, I invite anyone here to poke holes, drain fluids or attempt to accessorize.

Got the tear apart part down pat.........it's the put back together that stumps me......

So, you like to drill holes? my dentist is looking for a partner :roflblack:

To all who have made themselves available.......:clap::clap: very cool!

An in-person wrenching buddy is great, but in lieu of one I've found the virtual buddy system on SL is a great backup. Whenever I need to wrench on my Spyder, I am not far from the laptop and the wealth of knowledge here. Chances are someone here has been there done that when it comes to Spyders.

yes I am up for that.

There are 5 spyder in my area but I do not have contact with them. I do not think they are on SL. By the time I spot one they are gone.
