There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Magic Mirror Mounts

I've popped my mirrors out of those ridiculous pop-on mounts for the last time.

I'm seconding the recommendations people have made on behalf of the Magic Mirror Mounts. Took about 20 minutes to install (mainly because my workbench is a mess), and the mirrors are held in place by amazingly powerful magnets.

If you find yourself having to remove your mirrors regularly to work on the bike, these will make that task MUCH easier to perform. I've always feared that I was going to break something removing the mirrors, but these remove that fear.

:D Pretty neat; aren't they?
How'd you like wrestling with them, while getting them separated with each other? :roflblack:

I needed a nap, after I got done with it!

When I was wrestling, I accidentally had two magnets come in contact with each other AFTER I'd removed the white washer that had been separating them. WOW!. I tore a fingernail and ended up using two screwdrivers, one in each hole, to pull them apart.

So, I set down the magnet and it pulled over a knife I had on the workbench, so I had to separate the magnet from the knife.

So, buyer beware! Great product, but if you're not used to working with powerful magnets you need to assume that EVERYTHING might be magnetic, and avoid anything coming in contact with the magnets. Having two of them come in contact with each other is the worse case.

I had the same thing to me when I was installing my Magic Mirrors. What happened to me was that when trying to separate the 2 magnets, they slammed back together and wound up pinching some skin on one of my fingers and caused it to bleed and create a blood blister. Its still sore this morning. Oh the pain we go through to add farkles to our bikes.

Don't try to pull them apart, slide them apart. Also, try to be ready to install the magnet so that you don't have to set it down on anything. Any minuscule bit of magnetic material will become a permanent addition to your installation in the form of grit.

Great advice jet:thumbup:
i use a cymbals action and hold the single magnet high and away
i then put the remaining pack into my opposite pocket before building the screws and washers assembly and fitting immediately to the bike

i separate 600 of these at a sitting and have only been bitten once....well,would you believe twice?

I agree this is a great product.I was always worried i would break somthing when removing or reinstalling the mirrors.Install was very easy.

Mirror

I have had mine on for about two weeks.
I was wonder what would happen if I hit a big pot hole if they would stay on.
well I hit one coming to Spyderfest the mirrors stayed on.

Mine came yesterday. Mailbox is on a community rack serviced by our local PO folks. Had to yank to get the package out of the iron box so I've already had a warmup witout even opening the shipping bag!

I installed mine with the "assistance" of my granddaughters. Russell quite thoughtfully separated the magnets with plastic washers, but unfortunately, one of my granddaughters didn't listen too closely and started playing with the pre-separated magnets. Pop went the magnets. Stuck together with no separator. Now, that was a bugger. I got it, but it wasn't fun. Fortunately, no finger pinch for my granddaughter. Otherwise the installation was a piece 'o cake.

Great product! Way to go Russell!

Ditto the install, went off without a hitch but I attribute that to hearing over and over about being careful with the magnets. I found that a slight twisting motion back and forth while pulling apart made the separation pretty easy. Worth the price IMO, plus I got the added benny of picking up a little Aussie lingo in the instructions!:bbq:(««shrimp oc)

Received mine yesterday, going to install when I get time. I couldn't believe how these mirrors were designed to come off, so when I saw these I jumped on them.

I received yesterday the mounts. I live in a four-floors building with an elevator and the postwoman's bag was stuck on the elevator walls and she could not take it off. I think the power will be enough to hold the mirrors. :roflblack:

Another Happy Customer for Magic Mirror Mounts

Received my Magic Mirror Mounts today. I watched the You Tube video's on installation and the installation went flawless. I had no issues with the magnets. Before, I dreaded taking off the mirrors in fear of braking something, now it is so easy. I can say this now, but I would have paid 2X or 3X the price, as this innovation is well worth it. The wait was also well worth it. It took about 20 days to arrive to Michigan.

Thank you, Jeff
